Chapter 110
Brian’s POV
The phone screen went completely black, and all that remained was the cold, monotonous busy tone in the receiver. My grip on the metal body of the device tightened, knuckles protruding starkly. She hung up on me the woman who used to not even breathe loudly in my presence–she actually dared to cut me off, just like that.
Pain flared violently at the mark on the back of my neck the mark she once proudly bore, and which now burned like fire.
This searing pain was an undeniable reminder of an unforgiving reality.
She had just slept with another Alpha.
Hebert.
The thought of Ashley’s body—which used to belong only to me–being tainted with the scent of another Alpha had my blood boiling.
The image of her lying in his arms, making sounds that once were only mine to hear–it was too much to bear.
Fueled by rage, I raised my arm and hurled the phone towards the wall with all I my strength.
The expensive device shattered instantly, fragments scattering across the floor. It still wasn’t enough, not to quell the fury. I stormed out of the bedroom and kicked open the door to Kael’s room down the hall.
“Sound the highest alert now!
“Gather all adult combat–trained personnel! Equip everyone with full gear!” Kael scrambled out of bed, barely managing to get his clothes on properly.
“Alpha? What’s going on? Are we under attack?”
“We’re heading to Bloodmoon territory!”
I grabbed him by the collar and yanked him off his feet.
“I’m dragging that worthless woman bark! And I’m ripping Herbert’s damn head off to use as a football!”
Kael froze completely, his breath catching for half a a second.
“You’re… You’re declar
war on Bloodmoon Pack?”
“Execute the order right now! Stop wasting time!”
I shoved him aside and turned toward the stairs.
“You’ve lost your mind!” A sharp voice snapped from below.
I stopped mid–step and looked down. Grandma stood in the center of the hall, leaning on her ebony cane. Despite her age, her posture was rigid, her presence commanding with the authority of a former Luna.
“Let him assemble the troops, Grandma.”
I strode down the stairs, stopping right in front of her.
“Ashley betrayed me. That woman slept with Herbert. I have to bring her back.”
“Bring her back?”
Grandma let out a cold laugh, the cane striking the marble floor with a loud crack. “What are you planning to take with you? The rusty scraps from our storeroom? Or your guards who can’t even get a decent meal?”

I elenched my jaw so tight it hurt, holding back the rage boiling inside me.
“I’m the Alpha of Blackwood Back! I won’t let anyone touch what’s mine.”
“What’s yours?”
Grandma stepped closer, fixing her gaze on me,
“Ashley was the most dedicated Luna our pack has ever had! And you you’re the one who pushed her away!”
“She did that to herself!” I shot back, my voice sharp.
“She couldn’t even give us an heir! She’s nothing but a useless omega!”
“Useless?!” Grandma’s voice lashed out, echoing around the wide hall. “When she was here, we never ran short on winter supplies, finances were solid, and the pack was stable!”
“And now? Take a good look at your territory! Since Silvia joined us, the ledgers are a mess, shut down, and we can’t even find funds to repair the manor!”
Her words hit me like a punch to the gut, leaving my chest tight.

“Stop fooling yourself, Brian.”
Grandma pulled her hand back, her voice dropping to a frosty chill.
“If you take troops to attack Bloodmoon Manor now, you’ll just be marching to your o
own grave.
“The Bloodmoon Pack is way stronger than us right now. Hebert controls the largest resource network in the southern alliance. You wouldn’t even make it past their first line of defense.”
“So, am I just supposed to watch her be with another man?” Frustrated, I raked my fingers through my hair, the wolf inside me thrashing violently, slamming against my ribs.
“Am I supposed to just stand by as she goes to the alliance court to cut all ties with me? I can’t accept that!”
“You don’t have a choice!”
Grandma cut me off sharply, her words like a blade. “Isn’t all of this your own doing?”
I froze, rooted in place.
“You’re the one who insisted on bringing that sickly woman back here. You humiliated Ashley in front of everyone, and you let that woman throw her weight around in the manor like she owns the place.”
Each of her words hit me like a hammer straight to the nerves.
“I’m not even hoping for you to bring Ashley back anymore. She’s got a much stronger ally now; she’s never coming back.”
Grandma sighed, her tone softening just a little.
“All I want is for you to face reality. Find someone suitable—a clean background, healthy- a proper she–wolf to take the role of Luna. Focus on giving the Blackwood Pack its next heir.
