Abandoned While Pregnant, Claimed by the Alpha novel Chapter 24

Chapter 24

She pointed frantically toward the door, shifting all the blame away from herself. “It’s the staff! All of them-they only listen to Ashley! In their eyes, she’s still the true Luna! They deliberately ignored my orders just to humiliate me, to make you look bad! They’re using this to push you into bringing Ashley

back!”

Ashley. Again with Ashley.

Just then, the butler and head chef entered the room. Under my cold, penetrating gaze, they visibly

shrank and lowered their heads in nervous silence.

“You two,” I growled, my voice low with the weight of warning, “Silvia claims she ordered you to dispose

of the spoiled ingredients, but you disobeyed her. Is that true?”

The elderly butler flinched, but he finally mustered enough courage to lift his head. His voice was

respectful but unwavering. “Alpha, we have never disobeyed any of Silvia’s orders.”

“What the hell happened with the food poisoning?!” I slammed my hand on the desk, and the weight of an

Alpha’s authority immediately filled the study.

The head chef’s knees nearly gave out from fear, but he still managed to speak, his voice tinged with both

frustration and despair. “Alpha, the issue came from the most expensive ingredient of all-the top-grade

wagyu beef. According to protocol, such high-value ingredients have always been personally overseen by

the Luna. When we were prepping it, we noticed something was off-the color, the smell-and we immediately reported it to Silvia.”

He paused, taking a deep, bracing breath as if he was about to say something he shouldn’t. “But… Silvia

insisted there was no time to find a replacement. She ordered us to use the wagyu anyway and assured us there wouldn’t be any problems!”

The study fell into an unbearable silence.

I slowly turned to Silvia. Her face was pale as a sheet, panic written all over it.

She had purchased cheap, expired ingredients. She had forced the chefs to use them to cover her mistake. And now, to avoid taking responsibility, she had the nerve to spin this ridiculous story, dragging everyone down with her-especially Ashley. A wave of disgust and rage surged to my head. I broke the

rules for her, argued with my grandmother for her, took all the blame for her. And yet, this is how she

repays me-by trampling on my dignity and grinding it into nothing!

“So,” my voice came out colder than ice, “it was your incompetence, your lies.”

“No! No, it wasn’t me!” Silvia shook her head frantically, tears streaming down her face like a broken string of pearls. “Brian, you can’t believe them! They’re all in on it! I…

I had to deal with so much all on my own-venue, guests, decorations, music… Everything was on me’ I’m under so much pressure, I feel like I’m going crazy!”

She went on and on, listing out her so-called “achie

her something.

But that tear-streaked face of hers, looking pitiful to anyone else, was nothing but repulsive to me now

“That’s enough!” I snapped, my voice finally breaking as I roared over her performance. “Aren’t you the one who created all these problems?! When Ashley handled events like this, ones ten times bigger, nothing ever went wrong!”

Her crying stopped instantly. She stared at me, stunned, her usually enchanting eyes now brimming with hurt and disbelief.

“So that’s it, isn’t it? No matter what I do, I’ll never measure up to her, right? I tried so hard, Brian, so hard to help you, but I…”

Her voice broke off, leaving the words hanging in the air.

At the most intense moment, her body suddenly went limp, her eyes rolled back, and she collapsed straight to the ground.
