Chloe carried the Epic Crystal of Knowledge, using it as a lantern, and headed over to the High Heat Metallurgy Workshop in her territory.

She glanced at the building, which measured 16-by-13 feet, making it the largest structure she owned.

It was even a two-story duplex.

Although the High Heat Metallurgy Workshop wasn’t as high-level as the Legendary Arcane Defense Tower, it was way more refined in every little detail.

The High Heat Metallurgy Workshop was clearly more detailed than the Arcane Defense Tower.

Even the Slime Cabin was only 6-by-9 square feet-barely enough to squeeze in a bed and a fridge, leaving hardly any room

to move.

Chloe held the Crystal of Knowledge pendant and pushed open the door to step inside.

Right inside was a table, all made of fiery red wood. The first floor was tall-almost 12 feet meters high-with several iron shelves, and a narrow staircase barely half a meter wide tucked away at the far end.

Chloe wandered around the first floor, Crystal of Knowledge in hand. As she got close to the massive iron furnace in the center, a system prompt popped up.

The notification popped up: [High Heat Metallurgy Workshop: Able to smelt a variety of advanced metals.

[Sulfur-Crystal Glass recipe loaded.

[Currently smeltable items: Common Iron Ingots Glass Panes, Gold-Crystal Iron, Sulfur-Crystal. Energy Ore.

Chloe checked the smelting time for Sulfur-Crystal Glass. It was way faster than using the Arcane Workbench.

But the catch was, it needed a ton of charcoal and wood to fire up.

The High Heat Metallurgy Workshop could upgrade lower-tier materials into higher-tier items, like Premium Iron Ingots, for example.

Chloe tapped on the description for Premium Iron Ingots. [Premium Iron Ingots: Basic material required for forging weapons.]

After a moment’s thought, Chloe gave it a shot and sent a quick message to AAA Weapon Depot.

Chloe: [Do you need Premium Iron Ingots?]

Just three seconds passed, and AAA WeaponDepot replied: [Yes! Where’d you get thein?]

Chloe: [Is that a fair price?]

Chloe: [Man, you sound so formal. Are you really the same person?]

Chloe switched over to chat with AAA WeaponDepot.

She casually sent a message: [8 Premium materials for I Premium Iron Ingot?]

AAA Weapon Depot: [Whoa, you’re even stingier than NobleScalper.]

Chloe couldn’t help but laugh.

Chloe: [Just kidding. I actually want to trade Premium Iron Ingots for weapons.]

AAA WeaponDepot paused for a moment before replying: [Oh? Weapons are the most expensive stuff, you know.]

Chloe: [I can supply Rare Premium Iron Ingots.]

Chloe: [It’s not a recipe, and it’s not something I can trade. I just lucked into an advanced building. Maybe someday I’ll have even better materials for weapon crafting for you.]

AAA Weapon Depot: [Sounds good. Tell you what-if you want me to craft weapons for you, I’ll skip the crafting fee. Just keep the Premium Iron Ingots coming at market price, and we’ve got a deal.]

Chloe: [Want to hear my proposal?]

Chloe: [I’ll make sure you get a steady supply of raw materials, at 30% off market price. For every 10 weapons you craft, my cut is 3-any grade, doesn’t matter.]

AAA WeaponDepot: [That’s pretty ruthless.]

Chloe: [You need a steady stream of materials if you want to keep leveling up your talents. The better the weapon, the more it’s worth, right? Low-level weapons won’t be worth much down the line anyway.]

AAA WeaponDepot: [Let me think about it.]

Honestly, Chloe made a good point, AAA WeaponDepot’s talent was all about making weapons.

Getting a steady stream of materials mattered way more than just pumping out low-tier weapons for player trades:

Her enchanted weapons would sell for top dollar, and people would be lining up to offer her weapons,

By then, whether she kept working with AAA WeaponDepot would all depend on his attitude.

Chloe checked her stash of Premium Iron Ingots. She had plenty, so she loaded them into the High Heat Metallurgy Workshop to start making Rare Premium Iron Ingots.

The pace was pretty average.

At most, she could make 20 Rare Premium Iron Ingots a day.

The High Heat Metallurgy Workshop could handle two crafting slots at once.

As for the other slot, Chloe tried dropping some Energy Ore into it.

She was floored by the crafting time. It would take a whole day just to make a single Energy Core.

Chloe raised an eyebrow.

Energy Cores were a must-have for enchanting and Magic Rune crafting and could even be fed into the Arcane Workbench to keep it running.

Chloe had tried to snipe a bargain in the global chat, but nobody was putting them up for sale. After all, Energy Cores were always at least Rare, and they came with special properties.

Being able to craft them herself was definitely the best outcome.

After taking a good look around her High Heat Metallurgy Workshop, Chloe felt really satisfied.

She headed up the stairs to the second floor.

The second floor felt a lot more cramped and narrow.

There wasn’t much up there, and as Chloe got closer, an invisible wall stopped her, displaying a message. [Not enough items crafted. Second floor unlock condition not met. Craft 10,000 basic materials to unlock the second floor.]

“So there are actually special buildings that only unlock once you meet certain requirements?’ Chloe wondered.

She pushed the thought out of her mind.

Chloe tried using her talent to bless the workshop in front of her.

But it still needed 30 Talent Points,

Chloe decided to let it go.

It was already late at night.

Chloe gathered up the sanitary pads she’d crafted and sent them to the players who had pre-ordered

Then she opened the trading chat group to see if there were any new messages.
