Chapter 89 Enchantment Theory
Chapter 89 Enchantment Theory
Alden explained, “Enchantment, just like Magic Rune crafting, uses stable mediums to store dormant magic, giving weapons unique abilities.
“It really tests an Enchantment Master’s precision with magic and their keen grasp of different materials.
“Basically, enchantment is all about materials.
Alden continued, “The main difference from materials science is that those without magical talent can’t manipulate their own magic, making it nearly impossible for them to sense the flow of magic within materials or to alter a weapon’s traits. “Enchantment is all about channeling magic to blend the different imagical energies and elements inside materials, fusing them together and reforging them, so the resulting items can be used by ordinary people.”
Around her, plenty of people were already zoning out, sighing and grumbling in languages Chloe couldn’t make heads or tails of probably just venting about not being born with any magic talent.
But Chloe? She was totally hooked, hanging on every word.
Alden announced, “Today, I’ll be using Slime Ooze as the basic material to teach you how to enchant,”
One of the figures couldn’t hold back and complained, “Slime? That stuff’s everywhere. It’s not even a Legendary material. You expect me to use it for enchantment? Don’t make my Epic weapon lose its quality”
With another wave of his hand, Alden cast a spell, and Chloe watched as the figure’s mouth was taped shut with a big X- shaped strip.
Alden didn’t like being interrupted, but he still took the time to explain, “Slimes might be everywhere and most are just low- level monsters, but don’t underestimate them.
“These creatures have a special trait. They can absorb every element: fierce wind, gentle earth, impatient water, and more. “Aside from the usual six-wind, wood, water, fire, earth, and lightning-they even contain light and darkness, which are nearly impossible to find or preserve in any physical material.
“So in a sense, slimes can hold every element. Slime Ooze is basically the ultimate all-purpose material.
“As a Blending agent, Slime Ooze doesn’t just enhance the original material’s traits. It also harmonizes different elements and keeps them from blowing up.
“You all know the destructive power when elements collide and blow up if an enchantment fails.
“The drops you get from slimes are gentle in nature, making them perfect as materials or Blending agents for magical buildings designed for people.”
Chloe suddenly realized that the Legendary Wind Crystal Core used to have all kinds of side effects, but after the Arcane Defense Tower was constructed with it, there were no harmful effects anymore.
One day, she checked her warehouse and found all her Slime Ooze was gone.
She guessed it must’ve been used as a Blending agent in the Arcane Defense Tower.
Alden said, “It’s the same principle for weapons.
“Magic Rune crafting is all about the art of everyday living. Enchantment, though, is the art of battle and weaponry.”
As Alden spoke, a large mass of Slime Ooze floated in his hand, suspended in the air.
On the other side, two basic daggers and an Epic Ignis Crystal appeared.
Alden explained, “Enchantment usually needs a medium, but it’s not the same as Magic Runes.
“When we carve Magic Runes, we use spirit-infused materials as the medium to create rune formations that act as substitutes for incantations, giving the runes their magical abilities.
“But with enchantment, we magic users become the medium ourselves.
“We channel the energy and elements from magic-infused materials through our bodies, transferring their properties into the item we want to enchant, so it takes on those traits. Got it?”
The soul with the X on its mouth couldn’t help but blurt out, “I don’t get it.
“I think curses are way better. They can give materials all sorts of weird traits too…”
The little soul sitting right beside Chloe, like a
Chloe was practically sweating bullets for her. Alden just scoffed. “Watch closely.”

Chapter 89 Enchantment Theory
Alden stood off to the side, his robes billowing on their own, stirred by the surges of magic pulsing through the air.
Right then, Chloe watched as the Slime Ooze beside him was pulled by the magic, scattering into countless tiny points of light that slowly settled onto the two daggers, coating them bit by bit.
Just a few minutes later, two Slime Daggers were now sitting right in front of Chloe.
The two Slime Daggers were originally made from the same material, but after Alden used his special technique, their blades took on noticeably different appearances.
Chloe could see it for herself. One blade was brighter and almost luminous, while the other was dark and muted.
The system was like a total cheat, instantly breaking down the differences between the two Slime Daggers.
The notification read: [Slime Dagger: A well-crafted item enchanted with Slime Ooze, possessing certain traits of Slime Ooze.
[Quality: Premium
[Traits: Blending, Sticky, Tough
[Slime Dagger (Defective): A shoddy item from a failed enchantment with Slime Ooze, randomly inheriting some of its traits. [Quality: Common
[Traits: Blending, Mixed with weak magic, Unstable, Explosive, Impurities]
Chloe stared at the two daggers, now enchanted and sporting totally different looks. As she kept channeling magic into them, she could pick up on even subtler differences between the blades.
The magic inside each dagger was unique.
And Chloe realized that enchantment really was just like Alden said. It was all about embedding the special properties of Slime Ooze right onto the daggers.
Alden let the students up front take a good look, and once they were done, he finally spoke up. “Now, I’ve got two weapons here that have been through basic enchantment.
“They’re now infused with the traits of Slime Ooze, so they’ll resonate even more effectively with high-grade Arcane Materials.”
