CHAPTER HUNDRED-FORTYSIX-1
TRICIA
I was horny as fuck.
This was the longest I’d gone without getting laid, and as a vampire, that’s a very long time. My
body was a coiled spring of tension, every nerve ending a raw, exposed wire. I needed a release. I
needed to feel the warmth of a man’s body against mine, the frantic beat of a heart beneath my
hands, the rush of blood that came with passion.
I craved to go to the club, but I was still under my mother’s control. Still her little pawn until she decides what she wants to do with me. She would be enjoying this. Enjoy being able to finally control her daughter who always fought for her freedom.
I heard the knock on my door. I could smell him, my mother’s bodyguard. He was human, but one of the strongest human soldiers around here. His scent was a mix of forest and something uniquely male, something that made my fangs ache and my body hum with a familiar, unwanted
desire.
If I couldn’t have Dominic just yet, at least I could make do with him.
I opened the door, my silk robe clinging to my curves. The sight of him made my mouth water. Extremely hot and handsome muscular young man. His shoulders were broad, his chest a solid wall of muscle beneath the black t-shirt that stretched across it. He was a walking, talking temptation, a feast I was forbidden to touch.
“You asked for me, ma’am.” He said, nodding curtly.
“I sure did,” I said, my voice a low, husky purr. I leaned against the doorframe, my body language an open invitation, a challenge. I watched him, my eyes taking in every detail, every line and curve of his powerful body. I could see the muscles in his jaw tighten.
“You know, you’re the only one who calls me ‘ma’am’,” I said, a slow, seductive smile spreading across my lips. I grabbed his arm, pushing him into the room and jamming the door shut with my foot. His scent was stronger in here, more intoxicating. It was a heady mix of musk and sweat and something uniquely male, something that made my fangs ache.
“I’m not ‘ma’am’,” I whispered, my lips brushing against his ear. “I’m Tricia.”
I pressed my body against his, a deliberate, teasing touch. He looked down at me, his expression still stoic, his composure still intact. He was a challenge, and I loved a good challenge.
“You can resist all you want,” I said, my voice a low, throaty murmur. “But I can smell your desire. I

can hear your heart racing.”
Claum
He didn’t say a word. He just stood there, a statue of a man, a fortress of self control. But I could feel the tremor that ran through his body, a subtle, almost imperceptible shudder that gave him away.
Humans were weak. Even the strongest soldier. They could never resist a vampire’s seduction. They were putty in our hands, their bodies responding to our touch, their minds clouded by our
allure.
And I was the best at it.
I traced the line of his jaw with my finger, my touch a feather light caress. “Don’t you want to touch
me, James?” I whispered, my lips a breath away from his. “Don’t you want to feel my skin against
yours?”
He still didn’t speak, but I saw the flicker of desire in his eyes, the dark, dangerous look that told me
