letting her get away.

There was indeed a lot that I didn’t know about Tricia. The woman I thought was my friend.

I couldn’t help but think about her and what she had done. Had she always been like this? Or was this something she developed later on in her life?

What drove her to do such horrible things?

Had she been driven by her hate and jealousy all this time? Had she planned to do this all along?

Had she always wanted me to suffer?

How far would she go?

Would she kill me if she had the chance?

So many questions and yet no answers.

So many secrets and yet no explanations. It just didn’t make sense. It was a fucking mess.

And now, I was left reeling from the betrayal, trying to figure out what the fuck happened.

My mind was spinning, and I couldn’t think straight.

“What are we going to do now?” Carlos asked, his voice breaking through my thoughts.

“I have no fucking idea.” I sighed, running a hand through my hair. “I still can’t wrap my head around this whole thing. Can’t wrap my head around the fact that a girl I watched grow up, a girl who was always by my side, the one I trusted more than anyone in this world…she was the enemy the whole time.

“I can’t either. To be honest, I had my suspicions about her, but I didn’t have any proof, and I didn’t want to believe it, especially when Luna was still suspicious of her. She had tried to befriend me on many occasions, probably to use me to get information, but, I never gave in. So, when she finally did leave, I was relieved, and I didn’t think twice about her. But, it seems like we were all fooled. Not just you.”

“I should have listened. Everyone warned me about her. Everyone said that she wasn’t to be trusted, that she had a hidden agenda, but I was blinded by our past. By the memories we shared. I was so fucking

blind.”

“You were only thinking about protecting your family, Dominic. You couldn’t have known.”

“Still, I was a fool.”

She has “She played her part well, Dominic. She did what she did, and now, it’s time for us to make her pay messed with the wrong person. I am not going to let her get away with this. And neither are you. We will get her, Alpha. We will find her and make her pay.”

“Damn right we will.” I growled.

“Let’s just focus on the matter at hand. What are we going to do now? How are we going to fix this mess We need a plan.”

Just as we were trying to figure out a way forward, the sound of the front door opening and closing drew our attention. Carlos and I froze.

Who the fuck could that be?

Before we could make a move, Carlos suddenly fell to the ground, an arrow sticking out of his back.

What the fuck?

“Carlos!” I growled and moved towards him, trying to pull him away from the front door, and then, I froze.

Someone had entered the room, a gun aimed at me.

And standing before me, was the last person I would have expected.

“Tricia.”

“Hello, Dominic.” She smirked, a look of pure satisfaction on her face.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” I growled.

“Isn’t it obvious? I’m here to kill you.” She sneered.

“You’re not going to get away with this.”

“Oh, but, I will. Because once you are dead, no one will question it. But what’s the fun in that? I always wanted you all to myself, now that I have that, killing you wouldn’t be satisfying enough.”

“You have lost your fucking mind. I will never be yours, Tricia.”

She smirked, and pointed the gun at me. “We’ll see about that.”

Then she pulled the trigger.

Everything seemed to happen in slow motion. The bullet penetrated my chest, and almost immediately, I felt the silvercoursing through my veins, burning my skin, making me weak.

The pain was unbearable. I couldn’t breathe, the pain searing through my body, the silver spreading. I fell to my knees, gasping for air, struggling to stay awake.

“Now, look who’s on their knees, begging for mercy.” She mocked.

My vision blurred as my heart struggled to pump the blood through my body, and I was slowly losing consciousness.

The last thing I saw before blacking out was her smirking face, her eyes shining with victory.
