CHAPTER THIRTY–SIX
GIOVANNI
In five strides, I was behind her, and grabbing her wrist, I dragged her away from the crowd and into the corner, away from prying eyes.
“What the fuck are you doing here?”
She was glaring at me, and pulled her hand out of my grip. “I can be wherever the fuck I want, Giovanni. Don’t tell me what to do.”
I turned back to see Dominic already making his way to Hailey, and I sighed in relief. Even if I didn’t want Dominic we the her, he was the safest person for her to be with in this kind of situation.
“This is not a place for you, and if you didn’t have a death wish, then I suggest you go home and sleep. Now.”
“And, why would I do that?” She asked, placing her hands on her hips, and jutting out her chest.
Fuck.
“Because, you don’t want to mess with me. If you had a brain, then you would do the smart thing, and go back home. Or, did you come here to get fucked and laid?”
She scoffed, and rolled her eyes. “Don’t flatter yourself, Giovanni. I didn’t come here for you, so save your breath. I’m here with Hailey. It’s our girls night out, and I’m not leaving her. And if I get lucky, then maybe I’ll finally find someone who can satisfy me, and make me forget about you.”
“Is that right? Because, the way I see it, is that no one can satisfy you like I can. Your body craves
me, Val. And, your cunt is dripping wet, ready for my c**k. You may think that you can play this
game with me, but let’s get one thing straight. You don’t want to mess with me, princess. Because,
when I play, it gets dirty, and the only thing left are the ruins of everything you hold dear.”
“Don’t you threaten me, Giovanni. I can play this game with you, and don’t think I’m some kind of a weakling who is going to fold. You won’t scare me, and you won’t get to me. I will go home with a man that isn’t you, and then, I will forget all about you. Now, if you don’t mind, I would like to go have a drink and enjoy the rest of the night. You can go fuck yourself, and leave me the hell alone.”
With that, she stormed past me and walked away.
A growl rumbled in my chest, and I couldn’t help the possessive and primal urge to chase her, and
throw her over my
shoulder.
No other man was allowed to touch her, and if any of them dared, then their hands were coming

off.
I would kill any man who thought he could lay his hands on her, and Val would be mine.
All mine.
Valerie was a firecracker, and she was a feisty little thing. That’s what drew me to her in the first place, and now, her sassiness and fire only made her even more tempting.
There was something about her.
Something that screamed danger, but at the same time, her vulnerability and fragility shone through.
She was strong, and confident, yet the darkness in her eyes was a sign that something was haunting her.
Something was bothering her, and she was not telling me the whole truth.
Her past was a mystery, and the secrets she held were something that even I couldn’t find out.
Val was a beautiful puzzle, and she had me wrapped around her little finger.
The way she was affecting me, the way my wolf was acting up, the way she occupied every thought in my mind, and the way she had a hold over me, was something I had never experienced before.
Val was changing me.
It felt like I was slowly losing myself, and there was nothing I could do.
She was a force to be reckoned with, and she was bringing the storm.
Val was the eye of the storm.
The calm before the chaos.
She was the light and the darkness.
Her beauty was mesmerizing, and her body was made for me. Just for me. And I’ll be damned if I would allow anyone else to have a taste of her.
Val was mine, and no one was going to get in the way.
***
Val was sitting on the stool at the bar, sipping her drink. She and Hailey stepped down from the stool after downing their shots, and walked into the dance floor.

CHAPTER THIRTY
I could feel Dominic growling next to me as I had practically dragged him away from Hailey, we stayed at a reasonable distance, watching their every move.
They were dancing with each other, and laughing.
Hailey was smiling, and for the first time, she looked genuinely happy.
Val had that effect on her, and her smile was infectious.
Her arms were thrown over Hailey’s shoulder, and their bodies were pressed against each other.
They looked happy, and were enjoying their night out and drunk out of their minds. Still didn’t help that all the men’s eyes were literally on them, fucking devouring them with their hungry gazes.
Fuck.
It was like the women weren’t wearing anything, the way they were looking at them.
It made me want to grab Val and leave, taking her far away from this place.
She was not a piece of meat, and these assholes were not going to lay their hands on her.
A man walked up behind Valerie, and placed his hands on her hips. My blood boiled, and anger rushed through my veins.
Dominic’s grip on my arm tightened, and the growl that came out of him was enough to make
every one of those idiots run away.
The music was blaring, and the club was crowded.
But, all I could see was him.
He was dancing with her, and grinding his hips against hers. She was smiling at some point, but
seemed uncomfortable later on. He leaned down to her neck, and whispered something in her ear.
She smiled uncomfortably, and he leaned in again.
I couldn’t hear them, but the way she was moving away from him, the way she was trying to put
space between their bodies, was enough.
I couldn’t control myself, and the next thing I knew, I was storming towards her..My hands landed on his shoulders, and I pushed him away from her.
He was a little shorter than me, and his face was red.
“What the fuck do you think you are doing, asshole? Who the fuck do you think you are, coming at me, and pushing me away from my girl? Get the fuck out of here.”
“I don’t think so, motherfucker. The only thing you are going to be doing, is leaving, before I break
