“I read parenting books, and got help from Hailey. Yes, I’m not perfect, but I’m getting better, and so will you. You could try therapy, or maybe take parenting classes. And, you’re not alone. You have me and Hailey. We will be there with you, every step of the way. So, go and be there for her. Okay?”

“I’ll talk to her. I’ll make things right, and apologize. I’ll be there for her, and not let her go through this alone. I love her, Dom. I’m just scared of commitment. Father was never faithful to our mother. He was an abusive asshole, and he’s the reason why I don’t know how to have a normal, healthy relationship. Our parents were toxic, and he cheated on her all the time. He’s the reason why we turned out the way we are. And I’m afraid that if I have a child, I will end up hurting her and the

baby.”

“It’s not easy, but you’ll have to figure it out Gio. Right now, you’ve taken the biggest step of getting her pregnant even before you both can commit to a healthy relationship. You have to start somewhere, and be there for her. Because right now, she’s probably thinking that she did something wrong, or that she’s not good enough or that you don’t love her. When the reality is, you’re the one who’s not ready, and the one who’s not willing to change and be better. And if you really love her, then prove it. If you really love her like you claim, you won’t leave her.”

“I/don’t want to lose her, and she’s the only woman I’ve ever truly loved. I want to be the perfect man for her trust me, but I’m scared of failing her. I don’t want to ruin the best thing that has ever happened to me, and the one good thing that has ever come out of my life. I’m afraid that if I’m not enough, I would be ruining her and my child’s lives. You see how far Maxine traveled just to be far away from this pack and all the traumas our father made her go through. She wouldn’t even keep contact with us no matter how much we try to reach out. I don’t want my child to resent me, and hate me. And I don’t want to destroy the bond between Valerie and I, just because of my fucked up

childhood.”

“That’s why you have to fight, and show her how much you love her. Don’t be a coward, and stop running away. Stand by her side, and fight with her. Show her that you’re worthy of her love and her trust. Show her that you can be a better man, and be the man that she deserves. She was once with a man who treated her like a queen, don’t you think she would have had the perfect life and family with him if death didn’t tear them apart? So, don’t let her settle for anything less, and show her that she deserves better than any other man in this world. Love her, and show her. Prove her that you’re worthy of her, and the baby’s life. Because she doesn’t deserve any less. So, if you want to win her back, then prove it. Show her.”
