Even in Darkness, She Chose to Rise
Chapter 675 The Coded Message
By the time he turned around, the kid had already disappeared around the corner.
He opened the note. It was covered in strange symbols, crammed together. He couldn’t make out any of it.
But at the bottom, there was a tiny line of text, all squished and crooked like tadpoles.
Norman recognized the handwriting immediately.
No one else could write something that ugly yet somehow artistic except Tammy.
The weight that had been crushing his chest finally lifted.
It was only at this moment that he felt alive again.
Lucas looked at the note and instantly recognized it as island script.
“Give it to me.”
“You know what it says?”
“It’s their native language. Get me a pen.”
Norman didn’t waste a second. He had someone bring one over.
Lucas sat down, copied the symbols down, and started rearranging and piecing them together.
Norman leaned in to look, frowning.
He couldn’t make heads or tails of it.
Was this even writing?
Finally, Lucas finished translating. He paused.
“Someone wants to work with us from the inside.”
Tatiana went to a card game with Madam Ambrosia.
As a rising figure, the circle of ladies naturally knew her name. Plus, many of them had already heard she was marrying into the Langstrom family. They couldn’t have been friendlier.
After just one session, she’d already worked the room like a pro and memorized everyone’s faces.
She had this kind of social circle completely in her grasp. Even Vivian was amazed again, “You’re made for this circle.”
She shook her head, “No, I don’t actually like it. The better I am at it, the more fake it feels.”
Vivian agreed with that wholeheartedly.
“How’s the wedding planning going?”
“Mm, coming along.”
“You’re rushing into it that much?”
“Yeah. Can’t wait.”
Half joking, half serious.
But to Vivian, it just sounded like she was dying to get married into the Langstrom family.
And fair enough. In this whole circle, no one could outrank the Langstrom family.
In other words, ever since Liam got divorced, women wanting to marry him lined up from here to the sea.
“Then I wish you both the best.”
“Thanks, Vivian.”
