Even in Darkness, She Chose to Rise
Chapter 676 A Spy Hides In Luxury Club
Vane sat down obediently, looking like he was waiting for instructions.
But Tatiana went straight to the point, “Hal Wynn.”
Just that name made Vane’s head snap up. His face went pale with fear.
The reaction was too obvious. Too late to fake it.
Vane stared at her, shaken, “Who are you?”
Tatiana knew she’d guessed right.
“Someone who can help you.”
“You know who I am?”
“No.”
“You’re messing with me!”
Vane’s voice shot up uncontrollably.
But the moment he met Tatiana’s gaze, he caught himself and forced it down, “Sorry.”
“Calm now?”
“Who are you? What do you want from me?”
“The heir of the Wynn family has fallen so low; how things change.”
“You know who I am. What are you after?”
“Nothing. Just one question.”
“I don’t have to answer.”
“You don’t. But tell me—how did you survive back then?”
The Wynn family fell. The Langstrom family rose. Jack took Mr. Wynn’s place and wiped out every last Wynn.
On paper, the Wynns were dead—killed in a car accident.
If she hadn’t been staring at Langstrom family files day and night, she wouldn’t have recognized his face, so similar to the late Mr. Wynn’s. She wouldn’t have known that Number 18 was actually the former Wynn family heir.
Put simply, Liam’s current status used to belong to the Wynns.
And now he was working as a male escort.
Well… escort, right?
Tatiana’s question left Vane completely thrown.
The room went quiet.
Tatiana didn’t seem worried about being bugged.
A place like this, serving top-tier clients—if they got caught spying or recording, the owners would be dead.
“Can’t answer that one? Then another question—you got plastic surgery, and you’re willing to work here. What’s the endgame?”
Each question cut deeper. Vane’s expression grew heavier.
Tatiana rested her chin on her hand, casual posture, but her eyes were sharp. She waited.
Finally, Vane seemed to realize playing dumb wouldn’t work. He dropped the act, his expression turning dark, “Who the hell are you? Are you with the Langstrom family? Were you looking for me?”
Tatiana crossed her legs and said casually, “Let’s set aside who I am for now. First, drop what you’re holding. Hurting me won’t do you any favors.”
Vane’s hand stopped. The knife he’d been gripping went still. He stared at her.
She met his gaze and said slowly, “Can we talk properly now?”
When everyone finally came out, they noticed Tatiana still hadn’t appeared.
