Chapter 681 The Murder Tape Hidden In Tomb
Liam said casually, “My grandfather.”
“You’re a good grandson.”
With that, Sherry waved, “Alright, I’m going to check in. You head back. Drive safe. I’ll wait for you over there.”
“Okay.”
Sherry turned and went through security.
Liam drove back. On the way, something about Sherry’s reaction struck him as odd.
But when he thought about it, nothing was obviously wrong.
He chalked it up to overthinking.
Sherry was always emotional.
He let it go and headed back to the estate.
What he didn’t know was that after he left, Sherry called Tatiana.
The call was picked up almost instantly-like the other side had been waiting.
Sherry took a breath and said, “You won the bet. He’s sending me away-to marry you.”
“Mm. I know.”
“The original deal still stands?”
“Of course.”
“Good. Have a contact ready for me. I don’t want Liam to ever find me.”
“Done.”
“I need to see your sincerity first. Otherwise, I won’t talk.”
Even though she’d lost the bet and confirmed Liam was a bastard, that didn’t mean she fully trusted Tatiana.
“Locker 244 at the airport. Code 999000.'
Sherry followed the instructions. Locker 244 opened to reveal a thick stack of documents.
Passport, driver’s license, boarding pass…
Everything she’d need.
A completely new identity.
Plus a bank card with five million.
Half her worry faded. With this, she could live abroad under a different name.
“At the cemetery. His grandfather’s grave. That’s where you’ll find what you’re looking for.” She’d discovered it a long time ago.
Liam visited every year for the memorial. He never let her come along. Always went alone.
Every time he came back, his mood was terrible-cold and unpredictable. No one dared go near him.
She’d lied earlier about their first meeting.
Before she fell into his arms, she’d seen him take something out from behind the headstone and put it back.
She’d never mentioned it.
Knowing Liam, the least obvious place was the most likely.
She’d given him chance after chance. He always let her down.
So this was on him.
Before boarding, she pulled out her SIM card and dropped it in the trash. She whispered, “Liam, take care of yourself.”
