Chapter 682 Liam’s Perfect Innocent Facade
Tatiana shook her head, “No, not yet. There’s one thing we missed.”
“What?”
“Liam.”
She stared at his photo.
“All along, he’s stayed completely clean.”
Foster didn’t catch on at first, “What do you mean?”
“Once we submit all this evidence, Jack will pay. But Liam… he’s too spotless.”
Tatiana’s face was grim.
She realized she’d overlooked something critical.
She’d always seen Liam as a stepping stone to Jack-a way to take Jack down legally.
She’d run around, done so much, gathered so many people, cast a wide net.
Everything was going as planned.
Too smoothly.
The evidence they had was enough to take down ten Jacks.
Plenty of people were implicated-Jack, and many in the Langstrom family.
But Liam wasn’t among them. Clean. Innocent. Like he hadn’t been involved at all.
If you looked closely, it seemed like even if the whole Langstrom family fell, Liam could survive.
How terrifying was that?
Foster caught on too. His expression darkened.
“They’re father and son. He must have been involved.
“And yet he’s been hiding this tape. He must know it would destroy his father. Why keep it?”
Tatiana and Foster looked at each other. They both saw the wariness in each other’s eyes.
Once that doubt took root, it couldn’t be ignored.
Tatiana took a deep breath, “Hold off on any action.”
It seemed she needed to reevaluate Liam.
But the headache was-she was about to marry him.
She’d thought the whole thing would end on the wedding day, with Jack in court.
Now it looked like the show wasn’t over.
She pushed down her frustration and called Jasper.
Thankfully, his phone rang.
“How’s it going over there?”
Jasper’s voice was steady, “Found her location. Negotiations are underway…”
His tone was calm and strong-brief but clear. He told her everything.
Hearing that Tammy had managed to get a message out, half of Tatiana’s worry faded.
She was alive. That meant there was a way.
“I trust you. But keep yourself safe too. Got it?”
“Don’t worry. Once we get her out, we’ll head back. What about you? How are things?”
Tatiana hesitated, then told him the truth.
