Alice, The White Werewolf novel Chapter 20

It appeared that two middle-aged people with one young child were looking at me with surprised and confused looks. Without knowing it, we all have the same expression.

"Mate? "Who's Mate?" asked the woman.

I was still speechless and feeling confused.

"Is Mate home yet?" "Is he healed?" I asked in my heart.

"Sorry, Miss! You seem to be in the wrong room," said the man I thought was her husband.

"Am I in the wrong room?"

I took three steps back to look at the sign with the name of the room above the door. I saw the sign that said "Jasmine 03".

"Right, this is the room where Mate was treated. And that means I'm not in the wrong space," I said in my heart.

"Hmm, sorry to interrupt, but it seems that someone I was going to see has come home." "I'm sorry," I said, bending my body slightly.

When I was about to turn around to leave, I accidentally saw a wound wrapped around the young man's neck. Yes, it looks like the man and woman, who look almost the same age, are accompanying their children to the hospital.

The child I saw was very young and beautiful, lying down and occasionally holding a sore throat. I decided to leave the room as soon as I could and ask her out.

"Excuse me, is she your girl?" I asked slowly.

"Yes, she's our princess," replied the woman, whose name I later learned was Mira.

"What is she sick of?" "Did she just fall?" I'm pretending to be innocent.

"I don't know; we don't know what happened. When we got home from school, we suddenly got a call that our princess was in the hospital. When we got here, our daughter's condition was suddenly like this," replied the man, who, after I found out, was also named Lukman.

I tried to walk toward the little girl.

"Hi, what happened to you?" I asked while paying more attention to the details of the wound.

Yes, even though the wound was already bandaged, seeing the position of the bite made me even more curious about the cause of the girl's having a wound in the neck.

The little girl, who had a beautiful face, looked at me with an unusual look. And after a few seconds, we looked at each other, and I suddenly saw that the girl's eyeballs turned into wolf eyeballs.

"Hah!" I said this in surprise as I took a nervous breath.

"What is it, Miss?" asked Mira.

"It's okay," I answered briefly.

I deliberately did not tell the parents of the girl what I had seen because it was likely that they did not know what had happened to the little girl.

I looked at the girl's eyes again, but her eyes were back to normal, like human eyes in general.

"Hi, what happened to you?" I asked the girl, who turned out to be Selly.

Selly was silent. She looked at me with an increasingly strange look. I also felt as if she was sniffing my body odor and then looked back at me with a look like she was meeting with her enemy.

"Okay, fine! If you don't want to tell me. I'm just a little worried about you," said I, who then turned around after previously saying goodbye to Mira and also Lukman.

I walked out of the room. A strange feeling was felt when I saw Selly's eyeballs.

"Unmistakably, the wound on her neck was most likely the result of a wolf bite, and the change in her eyeball... I murmured in my heart.

So the next question is, "Who bit Selly? Is it Doctor Steve? Or...? I don't know. I don't know at all.

Then I took the mobile phone, trying to inquire about the state of Mate through Shannon.

However, after my two calls rang, Shanun finally picked up my phone.

[Hello, Alice? How?]

"Shanun, has Mate come home from the hospital?"

[What? You asked me that? Weren't you the one who accompanied him to the hospital?

"What? "So, you don't know that either?"

[Alice, What's wrong with you? [Aren't you the one who should know more about Mate?]

I was silent on that phone. I don't know how I told Shanun everything.

[Alice? [Do you copy me?]

"Ah, yes, Shanun. Sorry, it looks like I have to go to Mate's house now."

[Do what? Will you take Mate home? Has he improved?

"Shhhhh...! Can you turn your voice down, Josh!"I said.

"Oh, my God, Alice! Indeed, what happened?" asked Josh.

Arriving in one hallway with Doctor Steve, I slowed my pace.

"Why? "What exactly happened?"

"Shhhhh...! There's no time to explain it now, Josh! "I just want you to stay with me," I whispered.

"Accompany what?"

"Let's see what the doctor does!" I said, pointing at Dr. Steve.

"Of course the doctor will examine the patient, right? What does a doctor do if he does not examine his patient? Don't be silly, Alice! And is it good to take a peek at what the doctor is doing by sneaking around like this? Is this not violating privacy?" Josh tried to remind me.

"He's not just any doctor, Josh!" I said it slowly as I continued to follow where Dr. Steve walked.

"Not just any doctor? Huh... I don't understand what you mean, Alice! He's a doctor at the hospital, and I see him a lot. "I don't think it's weird," Josh said.

"He's a werewolf."

"What?" Josh shouted in a loud voice.

Instantly, I closed Josh's mouth and pushed his body towards the right wall, which was covered with another wall. Yes, so that my and Josh's whereabouts are not known by Doctor Steve, who spontaneously looks back.

"Shhhhh! Lower your voice, Josh! Doctor Steve will know where we are!" I always say it in a whisper.

"Do you know? It's because Doctor Steve is a werewolf that we have to uncover what he did to that patient. And also, why would he bring a patient into a deserted hallway like this? As far as I know, there is no more room for action or hospitalization," I explained to Josh.

"That's right," Josh replied after a few seconds of silence to think about what I was saying.

I looked back at Doctor Steve, who seemed to have walked as usual and did not know where I was. Until finally, I found that Dr. Steve went into a room that had a lot of cobwebs, and I was one hundred percent sure that the room was one that was no longer used and rarely visited.

I quietly walked over and then peeked at what Doctor Steve was doing. I saw that the patient was not doing well and looked so limp.

"What is he doing?" Josh whispered.

I remained silent without replying to Josh's words and was more focused on the movements of Doctor Steve. Until I finally saw something unexpected happen in front of my eyes.
