Chapter 16

I was Jacob’s mate, I have responsibilities and one of them was greeting him when he comes home. I don’t care if he couldn’t uphold his responsibilities to me, I would still do my part.
I opened the door with a huge smile, wind was brushing off my hair the moment the air outside came in the house.
“Welcome home!” I beamed but deep inside, my heart was beating loud and rapid.
Jacob has a frown in his forehead and a smirk on his lips when he looked at me. I tried my best to look at his face, just focus there, but I
could feel my lips trembling as I force to smile.
Fuck, Jacob was in front of me, naked!
Get a grip, Lucianna. Get a grip, little wolf down below. No matter how big and tasty that meat looked right now, never forget someone
else had a taste of that last night!
Then let’s taste it too! My wolf giggled, enjoying the view ten times more than I was. I didn’t mind her distracting suggestion and just
went on with my act.
I knew his expression meant he was testing my resolve. And yes, I was attracted, drowned hard into his physique but clears throat I
wouldn’t show it.
He called me weak, maybe this feeling was one of the things I needed to fight just to prove to him I was not.
“You’ve seen me naked, you should have prepared clothes for me before I reached the door rather than gawked at me.” he smirked again and I was not sure if he was trying to suppress a smile but what I was sure of was my face were burning.
I knew he had a point right there! I should mind my moves around him, it seemed to me that he was looking for my purpose and what I
could do for him.
I may have looked like a ripe tomato by now because of shame!
I was not able to answer him because it was not an accusation, I really were gawking at his body. So I just gave him an awkward smile,
not intended but it came out like that.
He sighed, then his eyes travelled on my body. I got conscious with what I was covered with, I’m only in my towel because I didn’t had the thought of changing into clothes before cooking!
“Are you trying to seduce me wearing that piece of fabric?” he scoffed. “It’s annoying. Just get me a towel in one sink cabinets.”
My smile faded fast from what he said. First, I did had the thought of seducing him but not like this yet he shoved it to my face without any hesitation. And second, I was annoying? Fine, I might had some shortcomings but to call me annoying when I was trying my best to be a good mate for him was not cool.

And definitely not cooling my head.

“Still in a daze? Why don’t you offer your towel instead? I bet you can’t wait to take it off for me.” he crossed his arms in front of his chest, having another smirk plastered on his face.
The prick was trying to test me again. Huh! I wouldn’t lose to your game, Jacob!
Without any delay, I grabbed the towel wrapped on my naked body. His eyes left mine and wandered down my body. His eyes moved to
watch my nakedness in a slow, torturing way.
But I was in for a fight.
I walked closer to him and stopped before the head of his manhood make contact with my skin. I think it turned larger, and harder.
Looking down to it, I secretly complimented it in my head.
Slowly but without hesitation, I wrapped the towel on his waist, roughly twisting the top for tighter hold which made him groan his
protest but didn’t stop me.
“Now.” I said, looking up to meet his eyes. “You can stop nagging like a housewife.”
I heard a growl from his chest, showing how he disliked what I said but I copied the same smirk he has been giving me the moment he
arrived.
“Are you starting to show who you are and the first step is not being mindful of your words?” his voice was deep, penetrating my soul. His tone enough was a warning, like he was trying to reach my fear but I had protected that a long time ago.
