Chapter 67

Seth had everything sorted to perfection. Blake was right, this guy

was a pro. He had everything under control. When I got to the

building, he took me for a walk around to show me all the

arrangements. We double–checked everything from sitting

arrangements to food to gift bags.

Seth had made the seating chart and I was sitting at one of the

corner front tables with Taylor and Rocky. The Callum’s were supposed to be sitting there too. Seth mentioned that they had

RSVP’d and confirmed they would attend.

“Seth, can you please move my seat? Is there a seat available at the Cooper table?” I asked examining his chart.

“No, not really. Unless you know if Blake is bringing a plus 1. He hadn’t really said yes or no when I asked him but I left an extra seat”

he wiggled his eyebrows at me.

“Yes, I do know actually. He is bringing a plus 1 tonight. That’s fine. Just take my name off and I’ll sort it out with Blake” I chuckled.

I had managed to hide my ring with a long sleeve top. I made sure the sleeve was long enough to cover my knuckles no matter how I

moved my hands.

“Is that so? Who’s his plus 1?” Seth poked me and smiled trying to

get information.

“You’ll find out tonight. If that’s all, then I’ll go get ready. If you

need me,

I’ll be in Blake’s office getting ready with Lilly. Call the line

there” I turned to leave.

“Wait, are you still my plus 1?” Seth asked.

“Sorry, Seth. No, I’m not. I’m sorry.” I looked at him. I completely

forgot to tell him.

“Oh, that’s okay. I was just checking. There’s this cute guy in finance I’ve been eyeing out. Plus, I get a feeling I know who you’re

coming with so you’re forgiven for now” he laughed and grabbed his clipboard before walking in the opposite direction.

He knew. I’m sure he had figured out one part of tonight.

I’took the lift and went down to Blake’s office. I had texted Lilly

I’d be getting ready there if she wanted to join me. Sarah, my usual hairdresser and makeup lady was going to come around to help me

get ready too. I had told the security to bring her up once she got

here.

As I walked into Blake’s office, Lilly was sitting on a chair, getting

“Hey hey, I was here first”

“Sorry boss, you were taking too long” Lilly laughed.

“Hey Rosy, how’s it going?” Sarah kept blending whatever she was

applying to Lilly’s face.

“Yeah good. Yourself? How’s Travis ?” I had known Sarah for a while now. She was a classmate at college before she dropped out and took on hairdressing. She said she always had a passion for hair and makeup but her parents were forcing her to study something more practical. She finally got fed up and quit the degree before moving out of her family home. Her boyfriend, Travis, moved in with her and

they’ve been very happy.

“Yeah, he’s good. What about you? Still single as a Pringle?” She

laughed and Lilly joined her.

“Something like that” I let out a nervous laugh. I couldn’t say

anything until Blake got here.

“What kind of dress you got boss?” Lilly asked.

“Let me go out it on and then Sarah can do my hair and makeup”

I picked up my dress bag and walked into the file room at the back

of the office. Mr Cooper had a file room put in at the back for his

personal folders and other storage. It was as big as the office and had

shelves from the ceiling to the floor. There was a sofa set with a day

bed in the middle of the room and a little desk in a corner. I put the

dress on the day bed and unzipped the bag.

I had ordered the dress at the Gucci shop in town. They had it

altered a little to fit me. It was a sleeveless V neck open back silk red

dress. I stripped off my clothes and pulled the dress on. There was a

tight band going around the dress a few inches under my boobs. The

V neck showed a lot of cleavage. My boobs looked so good though. I

had D cup boobs and they looked like melons in this dress. The zip on

the dress was on the side and it pulled it all together, letting the

fabric hug my curves. The straps of the dress went over my shoulders,
