Blake looked over at me and nodded. It was time.

“Dad has some big changes planned for this Cooper & Co branch.

As you may know, Blake has been living out here in Mariners Bay

since he offered to come to help us get our plans together. In his time

here, he has managed to do lots of things, including finding himself a

nice girl. So, ladies and gentlemen, it is with great pleasure that I

announce my son Blake’s engagement to Miss Rosalie Peters. Rosalie

is the Sales and Marketing Manager here at Cooper & Co and has

been with the company for the last 7 years. We are very delighted to

have Rosalie become part of our family and wish the happy couple

nothing but happiness. Please do congratulate them when you see

them tonight. Thank you, everyone. Have an awesome night” he

finished and everyone clapped. There were a few cheers and whistles.

Nate made his way back to his seat and the auctioneer took his

place on the stage. Sue turned around and was whispering something

to Blake. The waiter came around with drinks and I happily grabbed a

glass of wine, hoping it would calm my nerves.

After the first few auctions, people started walking around,

chatting with each other between auctions. Food was getting served and I was starving. People came up to us and congratulated us on the

big news. Blake stood by me with his hand around my waist, smiling

and thanking everyone. He had barely said 2 words to me since the

announcement and it was honestly confusing me. How could he go

from raging boner to couldn’t care?

Blake excused himself and disappeared somewhere and I excused

myself from the table and headed for the buffet. I filled a plate with

food and when the coast was clear, I darted for the lift. I needed to be

somewhere quiet to help me think. What was with the sudden change

in Blake?

I took the lift down to the floor our offices were on. My things

were still in Blake’s office so I thought I’d go pack them up so I was

ready to leave when I needed them. I ate as I walked. Since this

morning the only meal I had had was breakfast. No wonder I was so

hungry.

I absentmindedly walked around the office collecting my things

when I heard footsteps. I turned around to find Blake standing at the

doorway.

“What are you doing down here?” He asked, walking into the

office.

“Oh so now you care?” Sarcasm dripping in my words. I turned around and carried on packing my things. I put my plate down and

picked up my bag to put stuff into.

“What’s that supposed to mean? You know I care about you” his

voice got closer.

“Yeah, your actions say otherwise tonight. You’re so confusing

Blake and I’m finding it hard to keep up with you tonight”

I felt his hands on my waist. I dropped the bag in my hand and,

turned around. He was very close and had a weird look on his face.

“You look beautiful, Rosy. I mean you are always beautiful to me

but tonight, you look exceptionally stunning. I’m sorry I didn’t tell

you that earlier. I was having a hard time controlling my boner which

isn’t even a good excuse. You just made me so hard tonight, my dick

hurt from how hard it was. There was me trying to hold my breath to

calm it down before people saw it” he pulled me up against his chest

and wrapped his arms around me tightly.
