Chapter 83
“I understand that you feel betrayed and scared right now but
hear us out. You are free to make your own decisions after that.” He
gave me a pointed look and I just stared at him, not knowing what to
them.

“I know Blake has already told you how we all originated. What
you need to know now, is how our present defines us. We aren’t
savages and we aren’t dangerous unless you provoke us. We live in
peace and we maintain peace. We are as human as you are, with a few
minor enhancements.” He continued and Sue sat on the bed next to
me, keeping her hands on my shoulder. For some comforting reason.
As terrified as I was, I wanted her comfort.
“Rosy, do you believe in soul mates?” He asked.
I really didn’t know what to say to him. Did I believe in soul
mates? I believed there was someone special out there for everyone.
I just stared at him. I knew there was a blank expression on my
face because I honestly didn’t know what to say.
“Okay, well, us werewolves, we have a wolf spirit that resides in

and be with whoever we want to but the wolf side of us only has that
one true love. Their soulmate. Every wolf has 1 mate and when they
find their other half, they bond with them and they complete the
mating. Since the wolf soul is our soul, we will always be happier with
our soulmate rather than just anyone. After you find your mate, you
are in it for the rest of your life.”
“The term “till death do us apart” is taken VERY seriously. The
male is usually the whipped one in the relationship. His body, his wolf, both begs him to make sure their female is always happy, always safe and always looked after. They are both mentally and physically incapable of hurting their female but if someone else does, they will happily snap that person in half like a twig” he smiled.
Dwayne’s words were playing over and over in my head. I couldn’t ‘ fathom the fact that I was sitting here talking about werewolves. How was this even possible? Now this soulmate thing. If I hadn’t seen Blake change the way he did, I would have thought they were all
crazy.
“Rosy” Blake’s voice interrupted my thoughts.
I looked up at him. He was still standing in the same position as
before. He still had the same expression on his face.
“Do you remember that first day we met? You walked into my apartment with the 2 buckets and you were so helpful to the lost boy

across the hall”
I nodded. I couldn’t find my voice and even if I did, I didn’t trust it
to be able to speak without cracking.
“That feeling you had, the feeling of wanting to help me, wanting.
to know me, wanting to make sure I was okay. Your attraction to me,
those sparks every time I touched you, every moment we shared. It
was all because you too could sense me. Rosy, you’re my soulmate.
You and I are meant to be together.” he said slowly.
་
What?!
“Bu-.. but.. but I’m not like you. How’s that possible?” My voice
cracked just like I expected it to.
“Actually that’s what we’ve been talking about for the last hour.
Blake has made a good point. You don’t know who your father is.
There is a possibility that your father could be a werewolf. Does your
mum remember anything about your father?” Dwayne asked. He was
in investigation mode.
1
My father?..
I shook my head and swallowed hard.
