Chapter 21 Attitude Toward Cecelia
Finished
Ten years after the apocalypse, she had only seen a few level 5 or 6 wind ability and fire ability users. They were very strong.
But for now, she didn’t want to think about the future.
At this moment, staying with Ivy on Timothy’s team was still the best choice.
The two sisters went downstairs.
Cecelia saw Timothy wearing an apron and cooking in the kitchen.
Regina was helping by carrying dishes to the dining table.
Hendrick had already changed into clean, fresh clothes.
He sat at the table with his arms crossed, waiting for food like a boss.
Ryan and Matthew had just come out of the bathroom.
There was still a lot of dust on them, like they had just finished sorting supplies.
Ryan didn’t see Cecelia coming downstairs. Instead, the smell of food from the kitchen caught his attention first.
He swallowed and said, “Did Timothy cook today?”
Regina smiled. “Yeah. The supermarket had a big freezer. Even though the power was out, some vegetables like pumpkins, potatoes, and onions were still good. I brought some back, and Timothy said he’d cook a few dishes.”
It had been less than five days since the apocalypse began.
The power, internet, water, and gas were out everywhere.
In any supermarket, frozen meat spoils the fastest.
Finding vegetables that hadn’t gone bad was already lucky.
On top of that, this house was in a quiet area and was quite old.
The kitchen used gas tanks, so they could still make fresh food for the past two days.
Otherwise, everyone usually ate canned food and self–heating meals.
Most of the supplies they found at the supermarket were also instant food.
This meal was the second time in the past month that they had eaten something better.

Chapter 21 Attitude Toward Cecelia
Cecelia glanced at the dishes on the table.
Finished
There was a plate of pumpkin skillet with smoked bacon, fried potatoes with cured sausage, and sautéed onions with smoked bacon.
It looked like today’s main meat dish was bacon!
For a brief moment, she felt a little sad that her ability was not a real storage spatial ability.
If it were, she would never have to worry about food again.
Soon, Timothy came out of the kitchen with the last two dishes.
One big plate of braised smoked duck and one big plate of smoked chicken.
Ryan was already drooling. He couldn’t wait and grabbed a piece, tossing it into his mouth.
It was burning hot, but he still ate it fast, huffing and puffing.
Timothy sighed, took off his apron, and looked at Ivy and Cecelia. “Let’s sit down and eat.”
Ivy nodded and pulled Cecelia to sit next to her.
Everyone sat in the same seats as last night.
Of course, the food wasn’t the main point.
Timothy opened a bottle of red wine and poured a glass for everyone.
“This is to celebrate our supply run going well,” he said.
He raised his glass and looked at everyone, especially Cecelia, with a gentle smile. “Thanks to Cecelia today, we found a lot of weapons.”
Cecelia was chewing on the smoky duck meat she hadn’t eaten in almost ten years.
She looked up at Timothy and grinned. “I just gave a small suggestion.”
In the end, it was still up to Timothy, the team leader, to decide.
She just added a little extra bait when she gave the idea.
Just a bit of clever tricks.
Ryan responded, “Heh, it was just luck. Did you really take Timothy’s polite words seriously? I don’t think you’ll do that well next time!”
He snorted, grabbed a duck drumstick, and shot Cecelia an unhappy look.
Cecelia kept eating and didn’t even bother to look back at him.
‘Cecelia.

Hendrick squinted his eyes and raised his wine glass toward her. He said thoughtfully, “Whether it was luck or not, the shot you fired today really saved me once.
“So, I thank you.”
After that, he drank the whole glass in one go.
“Hendrick!”
Ryan didn’t expect Hendrick to thank Cecelia.
Hearing this made him feel awful.
He quickly finished his drumstick, glared hard at Cecelia, and said to Hendrick, “You didn’t need to thank this useless freeloader at all! In the past month of the apocalypse, how many times has she almost died? Every single time, wasn’t it you and Timothy, or me and Matthew, who saved her? If anyone owes thanks, it should be Cecelia thanking all of us first!”
“Ryan!” Timothy said sharply, giving him a look.
