Chapter 25 Eat First
“I can’t tell Cecelia said, shrugging her shoulders, being honest with him.
“Only someone like Regina, a psychic ability user, can sense higher–level zombies.”
So psychic ability users and healing ability users are kind of similar.
They’re both important members of any team
The problem was that Regina hadn’t fully grown yet
She didn’t understand zombie levels.
Finished
She could only sense when a dangerous zombie was coming closer–using her five senses and sixth sense
to detect them.
But Cecelia remembered that in her past life, when Regina died, her psychic ability level had only reached level 3.
Brandon’s team had a level 5 psychic ability user.
To him. Regina wasn’t necessary.
Timothy frowned after hearing Cecelia
He looked at her thoughtfully.
Over a hundred yards away, he couldn’t sense anything.
Just now, it had been Regina giving the early warning.
So how could Cecelia sense it?
Had she awakened an ability?
Before Timothy could figure it out, Cecelia patted his arm and lowered her voice.
Look over there. It’s coming out of the woods.”
Timothy froze for a moment, then followed her gesture.
Sure enough, a figure was moving toward them!
The darkness made it hard to see clearly, but it was enough to know that the danger was coming straight for them!
Timothy’s voice dropped. “Go downstairs and get ready to fight.
Cecelia gave him an OK gesture. “You make Regina watch the direction it’s moving, or it’ll disappear in a blink. I’ll go wake Ivy up.

Just then, Regina and two others came down from the third floor.
Timothy nodded and had Regina take Cecelia’s spot.
But actually, before Cecilia even got back to her room, Ivy came out.
Upstairs, Ryan swore loudly, and that woke her up.

Hearing footsteps outside the door, she quickly got up to check what was happening and found everyone gathered together.
“What’s going on?” Ivy asked, puzzled.
Cecelia grabbed her hand and walked downstairs while explaining, “There’s a level 2 zombie coming
toward us.”
“What?!” Ivy was shocked.
“Why would a level 2 zombie come after us?”
She looked completely puzzled.
Cecelia paused, looked at herself, then at Ivy. “Maybe it smelled the human scent on us.”
“Huh?”
y didn’t understand what she meant.
Cecelia shook her head. “Never mind, I’m just guessing. Let’s go downstairs first, okay?”
“Okay…”
Ivy followed her down.
But Cecilia kept thinking about why this level 2 zombie had appeared.
What she just told Ivy wasn’t a joke.
It just wasn’t easy to explain.
Some evolved zombies had super sharp noses, almost like dogs!
They had been inside the supermarket earlier.
While moving things, they had sweated, and the drops fell to the floor.
A smell–mutated zombie could smell it and remember it, following the scent all the way.
But this was just Cecelia’s guess.
No one would believe her until they actually saw this zombie.
What if this was just a poor, lost level 2 zombie?

“How could a level 2 zombie be running toward us?” Ryan muttered, standing by the window, completely confused.
Rip!
The sound of an instant–noodle cup being opened echoed loudly in the dark living room.
It was sharp and piercing!
Everyone was worried about the zombie noticing them, so no one turned on the lights or lit candles.
But in the moonlight streaming through the window, Ryan turned and saw Cecelia sitting at the dining table, opening two cups of instant noodles and pouring in hot water.
He blew up, glaring at her. “You lazy bum! What the heck are you doing?! At a time like this, you’re thinking about eating?! You’re acting like you haven’t eaten in forever!”
Cecelia calmly met Ryan’s angry glare and the looks from the others. “If we don’t eat now, how are we going to fight the zombie later? This could very well be a level 2 zombie.”
Her words left Timothy and Hendrick silent.
Even after a full day, they hadn’t even managed to take down a single red–eyed zombie.
And now they’d just woken up.
Maybe… she had a point.
“I’ll make instant noodles for everyone!” Matthew said, quickly grabbing several cups to take to the table.
