Chapter 26 Zombie Attack

Outside, a few dozen yards away, a red–eyed zombie twitched its nose and instantly locked its gaze on the villa in front of it.

Smell…

Human… Eat…

Inside the villa, Regina pressed her lips together and set down the half–eaten cup noodle, looking out the window.

“It’s here…”

“Huh?”

Ryan froze for a moment when he heard her.

He quickly slurped up the rest of his noodles, wiped his mouth, and grabbed the gun tucked at his waist, his face serious as he looked at Timothy.

“Timothy, should we go check it out?”

thy stood up, holding a submachine gun in one hand, another gun strapped to his back, and stepped of the house first with Ryan.

“Whoosh!”

Cecelia quickly finished the half cup of noodles Ivy couldn’t finish.

She grabbed a napkin to wipe her hands, then pulled out the dagger Timothy had given her earlier.

She told Ivy, “I’m going too. Stay here. Don’t go outside.”

“Cece…”

Ivy looked at her with worry.

Cecelia gave her a reassuring look and stepped out.

Hendrick glanced at her, then got up and followed.

Matthew stayed behind.

Given the situation, he had to stay behind to protect Ivy and Regina.

Ivy stayed inside.

Chapter 26 Zombie Attack

She was a healing ability user.

And yeah, “fragile” doesn’t even begin to describe her.

Even with the dagger Timothy gave Cecelia, Ivy had tried using it on zombies before.

But she didn’t have the strength.

The dagger couldn’t pierce a zombie’s head, and she almost got bitten.

Regina was in a similar situation but a bit stronger.

At least she could kill a few zombies with the dagger, and she could drive!

When Cecelia stepped out, she checked the time.

3:30 a.m.

Suddenly, a very important thought hit her.

Their house was 60 miles from Northbank.

That morning, they went slowly and had to scout along the way.

By the time they reached their destination, it was already 8 or 9 a.m.

Then they ran into a level 2 zombie attack, and everyone had to escape.

They got back to the house around 4:30 p.m.

The return trip took three hours.

Cecelia didn’t hesitate. She turned back, crossed past Hendrick, and ran into the house, calling out to Ivy.

Hendrick frowned slightly when he saw her return. “What is she thinking?”

“Damn it!”

Outside the house, Ryan’s furious shouting rang out.

Hendrick’s face changed, and he ran outside quickly.

When he reached the outer wall, he saw Timothy fighting the zombie!

Looking closely, he realized it was a red–eyed zombie.

It was smaller than the one they’d seen in the supermarket.

Slim and weak–looking, but extremely fast.

It dodged several of the ice blades Timothy threw.

Seeing this, Timothy shouted to Hendrick, “I’ll draw its attention! You shoot!”

“Got it!”

Hendrick quickly pulled out another gun.

He aimed with both hands.

Timothy kept throwing ice blades, and it worked.

The zombie focused on Timothy, and while trying to dodge the ice blades, it couldn’t avoid Hendrick’s bullets.

This time, Hendrick didn’t hesitate as he did in the supermarket,
