If they could successfully secure a Level 5 mutated zombie crystal, Tiger would get priority for the upgrade.
Once she reached Level 5, she could take on a Level 5 mutated zombie one–on–one. That would make collecting crystals much easier.
But if the military got involved, things would get messy.
Who should get the crystal?
It was the first Level 5 crystal. Everyone would want it.
And more importantly, Sanctum had too many people.
That meant too many regular zombies. And from that massive number, mutated zombies would keep appearing.
No matter how good the Western District’s location was, Sanctum was doomed to be abandoned because of this.
In her previous life, no one had even tried to clear the zombies in the Eastern District.
Cecelia spoke up. “My suggestion is this–clear out the mutated zombies in the Eastern District. We can team up to deal with the ones around Kaezer Group. But trying to wipe out every zombie in the Eastern District? That’s pointless. It’ll just waste military resources.
“Actually, that’s what Mr. Carter is planning,” she continued. “He wants us to work with the military to take down the advanced zombie controlling the mutated ones. After that, clearing regular zombies will be much easier. Taking the Eastern District back follows the same idea.”
Timothy looked at her. “Based on what you know about mutated zombies, what are the chances this works?”
Cecelia paused, then said slowly, “The higher the level, the stronger their control. Right now, judging by the number of rampaging zombies, it’s likely there’s a Level 6 mutated zombie behind it. Mutated zombies level up by killing each other. If one reached that level, it means there’s more than one level 5 in the Eastern District. Maybe three. Maybe five.
“We don’t really know. No one does. And at our current level, if a single Level 4 ability user runs into a Level 5 mutated zombie alone, they’d just become its prey.”
In short, Morton’s plan was extremely difficult.
They needed solid intel on the number of mutated zombies in the Eastern District and Kaezer

Her eyes lit up. She turned to Blake. “Can your psychic ability sense how many mutated zombies are in the Eastern District? Including inside Kaezer Group?”
Psychic ability users were basically a bug.
Even at low levels, they could sense stronger enemies.
When Regina was only Level 2, she could already feel a Level 3 getting close. She was capable of that as a rookie.
Now Blake was Level 4. That was a whole different level. Once he spread out his psychic net, even Level 5 zombies wouldn’t be able to hide.
Blake met Cecelia’s eyes and guessed what she wanted to do. His plan was different, but their goal was the same–they had to get into Kaezer Group first.
After thinking it over, he answered in a low voice, “As long as there aren’t any mutated zombies with psychic abilities, I’m good. I can scan by zones and estimate the numbers of zombies in there and their level. As for Kaezer Group, I’ve checked the outer areas the military couldn’t get into. My psychic sense wasn’t blocked.”
Whoa!
The moment he said that, the room went silent. Everyone except Cecelia was shocked.
Timothy and the others were especially stunned. They had no idea Cecelia’s teammate was this
strong.
“A Level 4 psychic user?” Regina stared at Blake, her eyes full of admiration.
As a psychic user herself, she knew how hard it was.
At Level 3, she could only control about 500 regular zombies.
But Blake, at Level 4, could scan entire regions and detect all mutated zombies.
Hendrick was just as surprised.
From the outside, Hendrick never would’ve guessed Blake was a psychic user.
And not just any psychic user–someone that strong.
He looked more like Oliver, the type who fought with raw strength.

“Cecelia,” Ivy asked softly. “now that Blake’s with us, can we agree to work with Mr. Carter and help the military take back the Eastern District?”
She had picked up on Cecelia’s earlier hesitation.
