“We don’t bring people with us.” Hendrick said coldly.

Then, he turned to Cecelia and the others. “Get in the car. We’re leaving.”

Ivy quickly grabbed Cecelia’s arm and followed.

Cecelia narrowed her eyes as she glanced at Zera.

Tsk! Tsk! I miss that fake innocent act of that bitch.

Zera panicked at this.

She tugged on Brian’s sleeve.

“Brian, what are you waiting for? Go talk to them! Look at their truck. It’s definitely full of supplies. And those men even have guns. If we follow them, our chances of surviving will be much higher!”

Brian hesitated. “But they already refused us. If we ask again, we might piss them off.”

Zera bit her lip and looked at him sadly. “Then what are we supposed to do? Our supplies are almost gone. We can’t make it to the next city. Are we just going to starve out here? And you don’t even have an ability.”

“Zera, I…” The man looked ashamed. “Alright. I’ll try again.”

Brian clenched his teeth and prepared to call out to Timothy.

But just then, the SUV engine roared to life.

The car shot forward without stopping.

Zera ran over, speaking quickly. “Brian, get in the car! Follow them! We can talk again when they stop!”

Brian froze for a moment. Then he quickly shouted for Amber to get in the car.

Hendrick’s truck drove last in the convoy.

Ryan sat in the passenger seat with his legs crossed, chewing on the sausage from earlier.

Suddenly he glanced into the rearview mirror.

“Hendrick, the lazy bum’s enemy is following us.”

“Hm? Enemy?”

Hendrick glanced at the mirror, then looked at Ryan with confusion.

Ryan snorted. “When you and Timothy stepped away earlier, the lazy bum told Ivy and Matthew to stay away from that woman. Judging from the way she looked, I bet she has a grudge against her.”

“Is that so?” Hendrick narrowed his eyes slightly. “Did she say anything else?”

Ryan shook his head. “Nope.”

“Alright,” Hendrick answered calmly.

Ryan looked back again. “Should we lose them?”

Hendrick raised an eyebrow, a faint smile on his lips. “No rush. If they want to follow, let them.”

Originally, he had planned to shake them off.

But Ryan’s words changed his mind.

Ever since Cecelia started acting differently, she had shown no hostility toward anyone in the team. She even joked around with Ryan most of the time,

It was rare for her to warn the others like that.

Could this Zera have something to do with Cecelia’s knowledge about zombie levels?

But from the way Zera acted, it didn’t look like she knew Cecelia.

Otherwise, she would have tried to approach Cecelia first.
