Apocalypse God Mode: Unlocked (Cecilia) novel Chapter 5

They had been close friends for many years.

When the apocalypse began, they happened to be together, and that was how they formed a team and survived until now.

Timothy understood Hendrick's personality very well.

This time, he could clearly feel that Hendrick had developed killing intent toward Cecelia.

Hendrick cared about the team's interests even more than Timothy did.

Ivy could not be replaced, but Cecelia could.

Thinking of this, Timothy let out a helpless sigh in his heart. They still had a long road ahead of them.

They had no problem taking care of Ivy.

If Cecelia kept behaving the way she used to, she would truly be a heavy burden to them.

So, he would give Cecelia one last chance for the sake of Ivy.

Timothy's gaze turned slightly cold as he looked at Cecelia. His voice was low and serious. "Fine. You can come with us.”

"Timothy..." Ryan's voice was full of frustration as he couldn't believe he had agreed.

Timothy gave him a reassuring look. "You can stay behind and rest if you are not feeling well. After coming so close to death, it is normal if you have not recovered yet.”

They were going out to gather supplies, not to throw their lives away.

Ryan's condition was a little worrying.

"I don't need to rest!”

The moment Ryan heard Timothy's tone, he knew the decision would not change.

They were definitely bringing Cecelia along.

He glared at her fiercely and said through clenched teeth, "Fine. I'll go too. I'll keep my eyes on her. If she dares to cause trouble again, I'll not go easy on her.”

I'll kill her.

But with Ivy there, he could not say it out loud.

"I'll watch Cece,” Ivy quickly promised everyone.

Her palms were slick with cold sweat as she gripped Cecelia's hand.

She was nervous, worried, and uneasy.

If Cece really causes trouble tomorrow, how am I supposed to protect her?

No, I need to talk to Timothy first.

The thought filled her with guilt toward the rest of the team.

Cecelia seemed to sense her emotions. She gave Ivy's hand a gentle squeeze and said softly, "Don't worry, Ivy. I'll behave.”

Ivy lowered her eyes and did not say anything else.

Timothy glanced at everyone, then took out a map. "Since we're all going on this mission, let's go over the route and the plan.”

The map was spread out on the table.

It showed the entire layout of Halcrest, where they were now.

Timothy circled a spot in Southridge and marked their destination.

"This place isn't exactly the city center, but the only large supermarket is located here. We will need to take a medium truck and an SUV.” His voice was calm and steady.

However, Cecelia's eyes were fixed on Northbank, which was right next to the Southridge he had circled.

If she remembered correctly, in her previous life, an advanced zombie had appeared in Southridge and killed Hendrick and Ryan.

Northbank also had a large supermarket.

It was closer to the city center, so there were more regular zombies.

The route in wasn't easy.

But if they made it there, there was a police station right next to the supermarket.

In her previous life, she had heard that Brandon had managed to get a large amount of firearms from the Northbank police station.

Although Timothy and the others all had abilities, it was still the early days of the apocalypse.

The zombies' bodies hadn't started to decay yet, which made them harder to kill.

On top of that, their powers were still at a very basic level.

Even Timothy was only a level 2 ice ability user.

He could temporarily freeze a zombie for about three minutes and conjure sharp ice spikes to kill it.

As for Hendrick's wind ability, it only made him slightly faster than a normal person.

He was also level 2, but his offensive power was far weaker than Timothy's.
