Apocalypse God Mode: Unlocked (Cecilia) novel Chapter 6

Cecelia entered the bathroom and took off her clothes.

Her flawless, pale body was reflected in the mirror, and she felt a little strange seeing it.

After quickly freshening up, she finally let her gaze fall on her waist-length hair.

Her hair was slightly wavy, almost the same texture as Ivy's.

But when the apocalypse began, Ivy had cut her hair short.

There was no reason for Cecelia to keep hers so long now.

With that thought, she took a pair of scissors from the cabinet.

Snip.

She chopped her hair off just above her shoulders.

Then she tied it back into a ponytail.

It made her look sharper.

Cecelia was very pleased with her new look.

Then she remembered the strange space she had been studying earlier.

Everything around her changed instantly. She was standing once again in that vast, endless white space.

"Huh?”

Cecelia froze. The scissors she had been holding was gone.

So, this isn't a storage space?

After a moment of confusion, she walked toward the pool of cobalt fluid again and reached her hand inside.

Things didn't happen the way she had imagined. The fluid didn't turn into a thin stream and flow into her body again.

"It's strange...”

She frowned slightly and wandered around the space again.

Other than that single pool of cobalt fluid, there was nothing else here.

Suddenly, a thought flashed through her mind. "Could this be my mindscape?”

When she entered and exited before, her posture had stayed exactly the same.

"If this is a mindscape, then whatever I imagine should appear, right?”

She closed her eyes and tried hard to picture things like trees, flowers, grass, rocks, and a spring.

She imagined them carefully, with all her focus.

But when she opened one eye to peek, the world was still an endless stretch of white.

There was nothing at all.

Cecelia was speechless.

So it isn't a mindscape either.

Then what on earth is this place?

Unable to figure it out, she began pacing in circles.

Suddenly, she thought of something and quickly pulled herself out of the space.

Back in the bathroom, she looked down at her watch.

It was 7.15 p.m.

She put the scissors down and entered the blank space again.

She walked around for what felt like more than ten laps, roughly the same as running half a mile.

When she came back and checked her watch again, it still read 7.15 p.m.

"Nothing's changed?!"

Cecelia was shocked and could hardly believe it.

Then she noticed something even more unbelievable.

She should've been gasping for breath after running so many laps, but she felt completely fine.

"What is this supposed to be?” She touched her chin and laughed. "A stasis field?”

This ability is useless.

"Forget it.”

She sighed.

She had not awakened any special abilities in her previous life.

She survived ten years of the apocalypse by training her endurance and constantly killing zombies, strengthening her body through combat.

Being able to start over was already a rare blessing. She should not be too greedy.

With that in mind, Cecelia picked up the scissors again.

She weighed them in her hand before narrowing her eyes and suddenly hurled the scissors toward the door.

Whoosh.

The scissors cut through the air.

Thunk.

The sharp tip lodged firmly into the door.

But two seconds later—

Clang.

They fell to the floor.

Wow!

I take back my words saying that this stasis field is useless.

This is clearly a cheat space made for training.

That time difference was incredible.

Cecelia felt more and more delighted with her ability.

However, she soon realized she was not truly immune to fatigue.

After she got tired, the cobalt fluid would replenish her stamina.

The reason the liquid had not entered her body the second time was because her energy level had been full.

Once she used up enough energy and touched the cobalt fluid again, it turned into streams and flowed into her body.

In that instant, she felt refreshed and energized, as if she had secretly taken some powerful tonic.

After half an hour of repeated testing and experimenting, Cecelia discovered the best use for the space.

She would train there.

There was no need to worry about the location and time.

She just had to keep practicing inside.

She could even do a thousand sit-ups in one go, and the results were immediate.

Her body felt lighter, and her movements grew faster and more agile.

...

An hour later, the bedroom door was pushed open.

"Cece?” Ivy called softly as she walked in.

Cecelia was already asleep on the bed.

As Ivy carefully stepped forward to tuck the blanket around her, she suddenly noticed Cecelia's hair was shorter.

Then she saw the scissors on the table.

Ivy was stunned.

Cece cut her hair?

Cecelia had once told her, "I would rather have my brains eaten by zombies than cut my hair!”

It wasn't because she cared about her appearance.

Cecelia didn't pay much attention to looks.

She had kept her hair long because, when their mother was still alive, she and Ivy had grown it out together.

Their mother loved seeing them with the same hairstyle—it made them look like twins.

But now—

Ivy looked at the sleeping Cecelia with a complicated expression.

She gently touched her cheek and whispered, "Are you finally growing up, Cece?”
