Chapter 61 A Tough Path to Power
What about Ryan?

Sure, he ran around all day and had a strong body. The guy even had six–pack abs. But his temper was too quick.
Most of the time, he hadn’t even mastered his level 1 ability.
Unlike Timothy and Hendrick, he couldn’t push his power to the limit again and again for the team.
Simply put, Ryan didn’t know how to use his energy properly.
Or his brain.
Timothy and Hendrick always found ways to squeeze the most power out of their abilities.
Ryan, on the other hand, would gather a small flame in his palm and slap it forward.
Thirty seconds later, the fire was gone.
Luckily, regular zombies were slow.
Otherwise, with that tiny bit of power, Ryan might not have killed a single zombie in the
past month.
“Ability growth potential?” Regina repeated. Her heart began to race as she looked at Cecelia. “Does that mean my ability will become very strong later?”
“Yes,” Cecelia replied calmly.
She glanced at Regina and spoke slowly. “Psychic abilities become extremely powerful once they develop. After reaching level 2, your sensing range should have significantly increased. But…”
Cecelia paused.
“But what?” Ivy asked curiously.
Matthew set down his fork.
Regina held her breath.
Hendrick crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes, watching Cecelia with quiet interest.
Finally, Cecelia leaned back in her chair and explained.
“Psychic abilities are harder to upgrade than most. You’re level 2 now. But reaching level 3 won’t be easy. A few level 2 zombie crystals won’t be enough.”
“Really? Upgrading is so troublesome for me.” Regina bit her lip, her brows pulling together.
Her ability was psychic. It didn’t have much attack power.
Chapter 61 A Tough Path to Power
She couldn’t hunt mutated zombies by herself.
If she had to rely on Timothy and Hendrick to get crystals for her….
The thought made her smile bitterly.
“If leveling up is this difficult, then being strong later won’t matter much.”

“Who said that?” Cecelia looked at her. “You’re thinking about it wrongly. Every ability can be developed. If you study it carefully, your power can do far more than you think.”
She paused for a moment. “You might even use it to kill zombies or people.”
Kill zombies? Kill people?
Those words left Regina stunned.
Could she really become that powerful?
“You need to believe in yourself,” Cecelia said sincerely. “Psychic abilities can grow far stronger than you imagine.”
“Really?” Regina murmured. Her eyes trembled slightly.
She could tell Cecelia wasn’t just comforting her or giving her empty hope.
It almost sounded like Cecelia already knew how powerful psychic users could become in the future.
Her tone was firm and genuine.
Before she realized it, Regina found herself believing her.
Ivy trusted Cecelia more than anyone else there.
She quickly asked, “What about my healing ability? Can it kill zombies too?”
She didn’t want to hurt people. But killing zombies? That was different.
Ivy wanted to grow stronger on her own, instead of relying on Cecelia or Timothy to give her crystals.
“Hmm, Ivy, yours is a little different,” Cecelia hesitated.
Healing abilities were strange.
Among all abilities, they seemed meant only to save lives.
But if she said that outright, Ivy would definitely feel disappointed.
Cecelia thought for a moment and cleared her throat.
“The true strength of healing abilities appears later. When they become strong enough, they can heal zombie bite wounds and stop someone from turning into a zombie.”

Chapter 61 A Tough Path to Power
The room fell silent. Ivy stared in shock.
Regina and Matthew looked just as stunned.
Even Hendrick was taken aback.
A healing ability could cure zombie bites and stop the mutation?
The zombie virus was humanity’s greatest enemy in the apocalypse.
