Ryan answered reluctantly.

After shooting Cecelia a glance, he gritted his teeth and made a mental note.

She also had no plans to reveal her ability yet.

Besides, her ability was too strange. No one would believe it even if she said it.

It was better to keep it hidden for now and quietly grow stronger.

She wanted to see what would happen after her blank space absorbed a few more crystals.

Ryan exploded again. “I already said I know you contributed! I’ll pay you back later, alright? But that has nothing to do with the fact that I can’t stand you. Those are two completely different things!”

He had always been very clear about grudges and favors.

A favor was a favor–he would repay it.

A grudge was a grudge–it had to be settled.

What was wrong with that?

Cecelia’s mouth twitched again. She couldn’t be bothered arguing with that idiot anymore.

Timothy held Ryan back. “Alright, That’s enough! Cecelia is our teammate, too. No matter what happened before, as long as she works with us from now on, you shouldn’t keep talking about her like that.”

“But she talks about me too!”

“If you didn’t start it, would she say anything to you?”

Ryan instantly had nothing to say. He glared at Cecelia a few times, looking extremely annoyed.
