Chapter 83 Ghost–Seeing Ability
The moment he spoke, it was nothing but scolding.

Hearing that, Zera trembled all over. Tears streamed down her face. “I–I’m sorry. I understand now… Timothy, please don’t be mad. I’ll be more careful next time…”
“Oh? Careful?” Cecelia crossed her arms and looked at the still weak–looking Zera with amusement. “Are you sure you don’t mean you’ll practice your pouncing skills? So next time you can land it perfectly, and Timothy won’t be able to dodge?”
She began to doubt Zera’s intelligence.
That trick had already been exposed once. Why would she think it would work again?
Did she really think Timothy was an idiot?
Or did she believe every man in the world was trash like Brandon, the kind who thought with the wrong head?
Oh, right!
At this period, Zera hadn’t met Brandon yet, and she hadn’t met her dear cousin Sabrina either.
Before that, Zera had been drifting from one team to another using these same tricks.
If Cecelia weren’t here, Timothy and the others might actually fall for it.
But she was here now.
All Zera would get was the embarrassment of performing her little act in front of a whole crowd watching her.
It was a perfect bit of entertainment for everyone in their spare time.
Zera’s face stiffened. With red, teary eyes, she looked at Cecelia and said softly, choking back sobs, “Cecelia, I’ve never done anything to you. Why do you keep targeting me like this? I never meant what you’re implying… Ever since the apocalypse began, Brian was the one protecting me. I–I just haven’t adjusted yet…”
Cecelia raised an eyebrow. “If you haven’t adjusted yet, then why did you kill Brian? Wouldn’t it have been better to stay with him than join us?”
“What?!”
The moment she said that, everyone froze.
That included Amber, who was standing behind Ivy. She went pale as a sheet. Her fists clenched tightly as she stared at Zera lying on the ground.
Zera’s heart raced violently when she heard Cecelia’s words.

She hadn’t expected anyone to find out about something she’d done so carefully.
How could Cecelia have found out?
That’s impossible!
No one should know!

Her expression changed again and again as she hurriedly denied it. “I didn’t! Brian was my boyfriend. Why would I hurt him?!”
No matter what Cecelia said, she would never admit it.
“If you didn’t, then tell me–how did that zombie rush into the room you were in from outside the door?”
“I–I don’t know! I don’t remember!”
Tears kept streaming down Zera’s face as she cried. “Brian got bitten by that zombie while trying to save me. If you say that means I caused his death, then fine–I’ll accept that!”
Cecelia clicked her tongue and looked at her meaningfully. “Actually, I have an ability too. Right now, at this very moment, the dead Brian is standing next to you. He’s staring at you. And he asked me to ask you one thing–why did you open the window?”
“What?”
Zera shuddered. Her entire body froze when she heard that.
It was already nighttime.
And just hearing the word “window” made her panic.
For a split second, it did feel like someone was staring at her from behind. The sensation made her scalp crawl.
Her blood seemed to run cold.
“I–I don’t know what you’re talking about! Stop making things up!”
Timothy and the others looked at Cecelia in confusion.
Ghost–seeing ability?
What kind of use would that even have in the apocalypse?
That had to be fake.
Ivy knew Cecelia said it on purpose. It was clearly meant to trick Zera into cracking.
But she still couldn’t understand.
What kind of conflict existed between Cecelia and Zera?

Ivy could clearly feel that Cecelia was deliberately targeting Zera.

Cecelia smiled after finishing. “It’s fine if you don’t admit it. Brian said he’ll keep following you until you give him an answer.”
After saying that, she even deliberately looked behind Zera and whistled.
