Regina didn’t know what to say. Her expression looked troubled. Something like this had happened right nearby, yet she, a psychic ability user, hadn’t sensed anything at all.

Why had that happened?

Filled with confusion, she looked at Timothy. “Timothy, I didn’t notice any disturbance just now…”

“That only means the other person is stronger than you. And they know how to hide their presence.”

Cecelia walked in slowly from outside, holding the clean clothes she had brought for Jerome.

When everyone heard her words, Timothy and the others were slightly stunned.

Cecelia didn’t say anything else.

She stood behind Ivy, but her eyes rested on the charred marks on Hendrick’s face and the way his hair stood on end.

Only a lightning ability could cause that kind of damage.

Had Hendrick run into a lightning ability user after he went out earlier?

Ivy released her healing ability, and a faint golden glow fell onto the wound on Hendrick’s chest.

The deep wound that exposed bone began healing at a speed visible to the naked eye.

In less than a minute, the seven–inch slash had shrunk down to nothing more than a shallow scar.

Only then did Ivy begin treating the other wounds on his body.

After that round of healing, almost all of Ivy’s ability energy was exhausted.

Sweat began to bead across her forehead.

After a moment, she looked at Timothy with a deep frown, her tone anxious. “Hendrick’s injuries are too serious. One treatment might not be enough.”

Timothy nodded and turned to Ryan and the others. “Everyone, take out all the level 1 crystals. Give them to Ivy first.”

Ryan, Matthew, and Regina didn’t hesitate. They immediately pulled out their crystals and handed them to Ivy.

Ivy absorbed the energy from the crystals while continuing to release her ability to heal Hendrick.

Amber stood nearby, watching them.

“Amber…”

Zera’s voice suddenly came from behind her.

Amber turned to look at her, her expression changing slightly. “What do you want?”

“Nothing…”

Zera hadn’t expected such a strong reaction. She quickly lowered her voice and said, “I just wanted to ask… that girl named Ivy. Is she… using an ability right now?”

“What does that have to do with you?”

Amber noticed the way Zera’s eyes shifted and immediately understood what she was thinking. She replied bluntly.

“Amber, you…”

Hearing that tone made Zera very unhappy. She guessed Amber had changed her attitude because of what Cecelia said earlier about Brian, and now Amber suspected her.

But she couldn’t cause a scene right now. She pressed her lips together, forcing down her anger, and said quietly, “I was just curious. The way she looks right now, it seems like some kind of ability that heals wounds. That kind of ability is pretty rare, right?”

“Of course it is!”

After saying that, Amber ignored her and continued watching Hendrick’s condition.

Everyone was waiting for him to wake up.

Zera stared at Ivy for quite a while. Her eyes flickered slightly before she quietly stepped off to stand in a corner nearby.

“Pfft…”

Hendrick moved.

He suddenly took a sharp breath and immediately coughed up a mouthful of blood.

His face was deathly pale.

“Hendrick!”

Timothy’s face lit up with relief as he quickly stepped forward and helped Hendrick sit up.

Hendrick slowly opened his eyes. Looking at the group gathered around him, he took two heavy breaths before speaking in a hoarse voice. “Looks like I’m pretty lucky to still be alive…”

“Who did you run into?”

Hendrick grew even more irritated.

It felt like a blade had suddenly appeared above his neck, hanging there and ready to fall.

Who was it that wanted him dead but didn’t even dare show their face?

As if remembering something, he turned to look at Cecelia.

Cecelia raised an eyebrow. “Looking at me won’t help. I can’t guess who wants to kill you either. The most I can tell is that the person who attacked you was a lightning ability user, and he definitely wanted you dead. Most likely he’s your enemy. You should think carefully about it yourself.”

After saying that, she carried the clothes and walked toward the bathroom.

Hendrick watched her back as she left. Thinking about her words, he fell into deep thought.

Timothy patted Hendrick on the back and asked, “How do you feel now? Ivy used her ability twice to save your life.”

Hendrick paused slightly. He looked at Ivy, who was sitting nearby with a pale face, and said hoarsely, “Thanks.”
