Approved for Her Rejected for Me novel Chapter 28

Chapter 3

I tried to explain calmly, “His flight might have been delayed. Chloe, don’t overthink it. I just didn’t want

everyone to wait too long…”

Before I could finish, Chloe interrupted me.

She affectionately looped her arm around Harrison’s, pouting as she said, “Honey, it wouldn’t hurt to wait a

little longer for Willow’s mate, right?”

Harrison’s gaze shifted to me, thoughtful and tinged with something heavier.

“It is his first time visiting the pack,” he said slowly. “We should give him the courtesy.”

Then, a hint of sadness crossed Harrison’s gaze,

“Besides… I’d like to meet the man you chose.”

A subtle tension rippled through the room.

I was about to say something when Chloe directly cut me off, “Willow, don’t tell me you’re still trying to come up with excuses? You seem… nervous.”

“Honestly, I’m starting to wonder if you made this mate up altogether.”

I frowned slightly and countered, “Why would I do that?”

Chloe sneered, leaning in and whispering in my ear, “Who knows? Maybe you still have feelings for your brother?”

“After all, back then, to seduce Harrison, you didn’t hesitate to use wolfbane and aphrodisiacs. Everyone knew about it…”

“Isn’t that why you were driven out of the Darkclaw Pack in the first place?”

Looking at Chloe, so smug and self-satisfied, the resentment I’d buried seven years ago resurfaced.

Seven years ago, at the end of my birthday party, I confessed my feelings to Harrison.

In the garden, I couldn’t even bring myself to look him in the eyes.

“Harrison, I know you’ve always seen me as just a kid. But I’m twenty now, and I know what I feel.”

“I really like you, not the way a little sister likes her older brother.”

Harrison didn’t say anything, his already-red face turning even redder.

I don’t know how much time passed before he softly asked, “Willow, am I dreaming?”

Before I could respond, Harrison’s kiss landed on my lips.

Chapter 3

His mouth smelled strongly of alcohol, and I stood frozen in place for a moment.

Then, Harrison didn’t hold back. When his lips touched my collarbone, my body went soft, and I forgot to

push him away.

It wasn’t until a force suddenly pulled us apart that I snapped back to reality.

I felt a sharp pain in my face as my head was slapped to the side.

My face burned as I slowly lifted my head to look at the person who had intervened.

Richard stood there, his eyes wide with anger, his face flushed, and his mouth moving as he shouted something I couldn’t fully hear.

All I could make out were words like “seduce” and “drugged.”

Many guests had gathered around, overhearing the commotion.

To their eyes, I was disheveled, lips swollen, clothes askew-a perfect picture of guilt, of a girl who had lured her own brother.

That night, Richard immediately dragged Harrison away.

Sophia arranged a hotel room for me that night.

Afterward, I was banned from returning to Darkclaw Pack.

The scandal spread like wildfire. My name was dragged through the mud, the story twisted and amplified online until I became that girl-the shameless one who’d seduced her own brother.

The school expelled me, and the online harassment was overwhelming.

I wanted Harrison to clear my name, but he remained silent.

In the end, the Darkclaw Pack sent me abroad, telling me not to return, effectively severing our ties.

Now, standing before Chloe’s spiteful gaze, I could only feel a pang of pity for her.

Was a man with so little courage really worth this much devotion?

Seeing that I didn’t speak, Chloe grew even more certain that I still had feelings for Harrison, “Do you have any idea how much shame you brought on the Darkclaw Pack?”

“If I were you, I’d be too ashamed to come back!”

She looked down at me, sneering, “Look at you. Trouble follows you wherever you go.”

“I heard your parents died right after you were born. Maybe you were the one who brought them bad luck.”

When I heard Chloe’s words, my pupils constricted, and I raised my hand, slapping her across the face. Chapter 3

Chloe let out a shocked cry, staring at me in disbelief.

Pack members quickly surrounded us.
