Approved for Her Rejected for Me novel Chapter 56

Chapter 7

I stared at him in shock when those shameless words came out of his mouth, then actually laughed from

sheer disbelief.

“Leo, do you even hear yourself? You want me to raise your child with another she-wolf?”

“You’re my mate. What’s wrong with raising my child?” he said casually, as if it were the most natural thing in

the world. “Besides, we’re still young. We can have children of our own later.”

Every word made my stomach churn.

So this had been his plan all along.

Before I could even curse him out, Lily exploded.

“Have you lost your damn mind? How do you even say something like that with a straight face?” she

snapped. “You look like a man, but nothing you do is even remotely human.”

She jabbed a finger at him. “If you think that’s so reasonable, how about Riley goes out, has a pup with

someone else, and brings it home for you to raise together?”

That hit exactly where it hurt.

Leo’s face darkened instantly. “Riley would never do something like that.”

“I would,” I said calmly, cutting him off.

I lifted my eyes and met his stare head-on, repeating myself slowly and clearly. “If you refuse to break the

mate bond, then yes, I would. I’m not a saint, and I will not raise someone else’s pup.”

Then I added coldly, “And you might want to educate yourself on what counts as bigamy before you keep

talking.”

In my previous life, I had asked to break the mate bond. Leo had refused. He said I had caused the death of

his child and that I owed him a lifetime of atonement.

When I tried to file a case with the Lycan Tribunal to break the bond, he deliberately staged public

appearances, making it look like we were deeply in love. The Tribunal dismissed my petition.

Later, after my child died, I sued him again. That time, he colluded with my mother and had her sign a letter

of forgiveness.

I had gone to my mother in tears, asking why she would do that to me.

She said, “Every mate bond has rough patches. What happened to the child was an accident. Let it go. You’re

still young. You’ll have another pup.”

I had lost my child and then lost my family right after.

That betrayal crushed me completely. I was barely thirty when I wasted away and died in despair.

This life, I would never repeat that mistake.

Just as I finished speaking, Liora walked up to me with her head lowered, clearly frightened.

She stood in front of me and pleaded softly, “Luna, I know my presence has affected you and Alpha’s relationship, but please believe me. I never wanted to take your place.”

Lily scoffed loudly.

“You really know how to make yourself sound innocent,” she shot back.

“So what, you didn’t come between them? You just joined them? Do you have no shame at all? You knew he had a mate and still threw yourself at him. If that’s not knowingly being the other woman, what is?”

“Enough!” Leo snapped.

He quickly moved to support Liora, his face full of concern as he glared at Lily. “You don’t understand

anything. This is between Riley and me. You’re an outsider. Stay out of it.”

Lily was furious, but his words left her momentarily speechless.

I stayed calm. I gave Lily a reassuring look, then turned back to Leo.
