Upon hearing Kaitlyn and Johnny, Madison let out a laugh. "Fix our relationship? By smearing my name? By paying someone to ram a car into me? That's definitely a creative way to fix things."
Johnny and Kaitlyn flushed red. Whether in embarrassment or anger, Madison couldn't tell.
Seeing their reactions, a glint flickered in her eyes. She propped her chin in her hand and drawled, "Of course, if you don't want to grovel and apologize, there's another option."
Johnny bit instantly. "What option?"
He definitely did not want to grovel at Madison's feet.
Kaitlyn didn't speak, but her eyes stayed fixed on Madison.
Madison smiled. "Monetary compensation, of course. You framed me, ruined my reputation, and made Sam misunderstand me.
"I won't ask for much, just 10 million dollars each. And as for trying to kill me, let's see… my life is pretty valuable. Let's call it 100 million dollars each."
The second her words fell, both of them gasped in shock. "100 million dollars?"
Madison grinned, enjoying the sight of their horrified faces. "That's right. If you have no objections, I'll have someone draft the IOUs."
"Wait!" Johnny shouted.
It wasn't 10 or 20 million dollars. Madison was asking for a whopping 100 million dollars. Even selling his small company wouldn't cover that sum.
Madison glanced over, raising an eyebrow. "What, do you have something to say?"
Oh, Johnny had plenty to say. If apologizing could save him 100 million dollars, he would do so in a heartbeat.
Kaitlyn saw right through him and silently cursed him for being greedy.
