The next morning, at the crack of dawn, Sam was having breakfast when he saw Madison coming downstairs. She was dressed in a neat, crisp women's suit.
He set down his coffee cup and asked casually, "Are you heading out today?"
"Yeah. I've been saying I'd go to Rivenhall to check the accounts, but I still haven't done so. Now that I've recovered, it's time to wrap some things up for good."
Rivenhall was the company Johnny managed.
As Madison spoke, she sat down across from Sam. A maid quickly brought over her breakfast.
Sam frowned slightly. "Do you need my help?"
"Of course I do."
Sam nodded, saying, "Okay. I'll have Brett come look for you later."
"Have him go straight to Rivenhall," Madison said.
"Alright."
After finishing their meal, Sam looked at Madison and offered, "How about I drive you to the company?"
Madison didn't refuse him.
Rivenhall was located on No. 2 Financial Avenue and belonged to Quinn Group. It used to be one of the company's most profitable subsidiaries.
However, its total revenue had been declining year by year over the past two years.
Soon, a black Bugatti stopped at Rivenhall's entrance.
Madison opened the door and got out. She turned and waved goodbye to Sam in the car, saying, "Bye, Sam."
Sam's gaze deepened as he looked at her. "You're leaving just like that?"
"Huh? Do you have anything else to say, Sam?" Madison blinked, looking at him in puzzlement.
When he saw the innocent look in her eyes, Sam suddenly felt stifled. He pressed his lips together and said stiffly, "It's nothing. Go on, then."
