Faced with Sam's commanding presence, Johnny looked unpleasant and a little panicked.
If Sam hadn't shown up, he figured he had a strong chance of getting Madison to soften. Now? He wasn't so sure.
While he was figuring out his next move, Janet recapped catching Johnny and Kaitlyn in the act earlier.
When Sam finished listening, his expression darkened, and the air seemed to freeze. He leveled a stare at Johnny and Kaitlyn that was cold enough to cut.
Both of them jolted. Upon remembering how ruthless Sam could be, their scalps prickled.
The next second, Sam pulled his gaze away from them and looked at Madison. His voice was cold. "How do you want to handle this?"
Madison blinked, answering straight. "I don't know when they started sneaking around, so I'm planning to settle up everything they've gotten from me over the years."
Sam was satisfied with that.
Madison hadn't softened just because Johnny begged. She was really done with them.
He gave a small, satisfied smile and headed toward her. "Since we're settling accounts, is the bill ready?"
Janet had been sitting beside Madison. When she saw Sam approach, she stood and gave up the seat without hesitation.
Watching him walk over, Madison lifted a brow, pleased. "Obviously."
As she spoke, she picked up the stack of papers on the table and gave it a little wave.
When they saw that, Kaitlyn and Johnny felt a wave of dread.
Sure enough, Madison let out a humorless laugh. "This is everything I've spent on you over the years. Johnny, your total is 37 million dollars. Kaitlyn, 54.17 million dollars."
Before they could come up with anything, Janet pointed to Madison and introduced her, her voice carrying through the private room.
"Everyone, Madison Quinn is the Quinn family's heiress and the chair of Quinn Group. Her family is the second-richest here, after Mr. Goodwin's."
Everyone just stared, stunned.
They all knew Quinn Group. Last night, they'd been jealous that Johnny snagged an executive slot there. In Ardelisse, it was second only to Goodwin Corp.
Someone still wasn't buying it. "For real? Madison is the chair of Quinn Group?"
Janet glanced over and chuckled. "If you doubt it, ask the hotel manager. This hotel is one of Quinn Group's properties."
She turned to Madison. Her look seemed to say, "Well? Make the call."
