Back in Time to Fall for Him novel Chapter 71

Ethan wondered out loud, "Why is Madison here?"

Didn't she hate Sam the most? If she didn't need something from Sam, she would never have set foot in Goodwin Corp.

His assistant, sitting in the front passenger seat, reported what he heard from the company group chat that morning.

"Madison has started working as Mr. Goodwin's personal assistant this morning."

"Sam's assistant?" Ethan raised an eyebrow and smirked.

A few moments later, he icily instructed, "Look into Madison's recent situation."

"Yes, sir!" the assistant replied before getting someone to investigate Madison.

When Madison returned to the CEO's office, she saw Sam working, just as before she left. She rubbed her face and smiled, walking over to him.

"Sam, I'm back."

Sam looked at her and responded with a light hum before going back to work.

Madison's smile instantly froze. Something was off with Sam. Was he jealous because he found out that she had pulled Johnny aside to talk one-to-one?

The more she thought about it, the more she felt plausible. She immediately went over to him and wrapped her arms around his neck, swaying him gently, and saying, "Sam, you don't sound happy. Are you jealous?"

She secretly sighed and sat in his lap, cupping his cheeks with both hands. She said tenderly, "Sam, you're the only one I love right now. I only want to be with you. Johnny is the past. Could you trust me a little more, please? Hmm?"

She lowered her head and pecked his lips.

Sam's gloominess instantly vanished when he saw her gorgeous looks up close. He immediately became dominant, hugging his arms around her waist. He said with a hoarse voice, "Do you know what will happen to you if you betray my trust?"

"I don't know. I don't want to know either, because… I will never betray you!" Madison proclaimed earnestly as her eyes bore into Sam's.

Sam looked at her. Aside from her seriousness, he saw not a single trace of shiftiness. Perhaps he could really trust her this once.

Besides, she hadn't let him down once over the past few days.
