But when he realized the person walking out was Jonathan Coleman, he froze for a second before quickly stepping forward. "Director Coleman, how is Sienna? Is she badly hurt?"
"Oh, now you suddenly remember to ask? Where the hell were you earlier?"
Jonathan gave a mocking sneer, sweeping a freezing glance over him. His gaze was entirely filled with obvious dissatisfaction, devoid of any politeness. "Sienna doesn't want to see you. Go back to wherever you came from, there's no point waiting around here."
Jarred's brow furrowed, his face instantly darkening a few shades.
Without waiting for Jonathan to say another word, he moved to walk straight into the operating room.
He needed to see her with his own eyes, to personally confirm her condition. No matter what anyone else said, he couldn't put his mind at ease.
Watching his stubborn back, Jonathan's voice was as cold as ice. "Going in won't do you any good. The surgery is already over, and she's been gone from in there for a while."
Jarred's footsteps stopped dead.
He turned around, only to meet Jonathan's mocking smile. "You didn't cherish her when everything was fine, and now you come crawling back? It's too late."
Seeing the heavy sarcasm in his eyes, Jarred's expression turned so dark it was nearly black, a chaotic storm of emotions violently churning in his chest.
Ultimately, he didn't say a single word, simply turning to head toward Sienna's previous hospital room.
Behind him, Jonathan's voice drifted over casually once more. "Don't say I didn't warn you. This time, Sienna has truly made up her mind not to see you.
If she doesn't want you to find her, you could turn this entire hospital upside down and you still wouldn't catch a single glimpse of her."
Jarred didn't look back.
The man's figure was tall and proud, his face devastatingly handsome. His usual casual, effortlessly dominant demeanor was completely completely wiped away, leaving nothing behind but an aura of heavy, freezing hostility.
It wasn't until Jonathan's voice completely faded down the hallway that he finally began walking toward Sienna's old room.
But when he pushed the door open, the room was completely empty. There wasn't a trace of Sienna anywhere.
"Impossible." Jarred instantly shot down the theory. "Leaving aside the fact that this hospital is the absolute best in the Capital.
Given how severely injured she is, with how cautious Jonathan is, even if Sienna wanted to, Jonathan would absolutely never allow her to risk a hasty transfer."
His gaze darkened as he looked at Declan. "Keep looking. Even if you have to turn this entire hospital inside out, find her for me."
"Yes, Boss!"
Less than ten minutes later, Declan came jogging back, his tone excited. "Boss, I found her..."
The top-floor VIP ward.
The elevator doors slowly slid open, and Jarred stepped out first, radiating an icy, oppressive aura.
Declan followed closely behind, too terrified to even breathe too loudly.
