"Find a well-connected, deeply rooted underground auction house and put this necklace up for sale. I don't care about the final price, I only have one condition.
Helena must be able to track the news and follow the bidding the entire time, but under no circumstances is she allowed to win it."
Catching the icy look in Sienna's eyes, Luna couldn't help but laugh out loud. "That is downright ruthless. You're squeezing Helena right where it hurts.
Letting her see it but never touch it—that's worse than carving out a piece of her flesh. It'll absolutely destroy her."
Sienna scoffed softly and didn't reply.
Her thoughts drifted back to Owen, lying in that hospital bed, covered in tubes.
Celeste was the one who had reduced him to that state.
That woman who played the role of a generous, open-hearted girl in front of everyone, but was actually as venomous as a viper.
And those who praised Celeste behind the scenes, indulged her, and made her so fearlessly arrogant—none of them were innocent.
"Leave it to me," Luna's voice pulled her back to reality.
"My best contact works in the archives. Forget just finding an underground auction house; if I wanted to dig into the deepest secrets of the Capital's elite families, no one would have better intel than me."
"Be careful," Sienna warned. "You and Jarred both work in the public security system. Don't let him find out you're helping me with this."
"I know, I know. I've got it handled," Luna waved her hand, her tone breezy.
Back home, Sienna changed into her slippers and headed straight for the bathroom.
The very first thing she had done after getting off the plane was message Declan Ward to schedule their appointment to finalize the paperwork the next morning.
Lying in bed, Sienna turned off the lamp. Darkness surged over her like a tidal wave.
She closed her eyes, but sleep remained frustratingly elusive.
Just like last time, she tossed and turned all night.
Even though she held the Divorce Agreement signed by Jarred, having verified the handwriting and signature countless times, she still couldn't find peace.
"It's almost our turn!"
Jarred didn't pull away, letting her drag him forward.
He looked down at the hands gripping his arm, her fingers turning white from the force.
He suddenly found the situation absurd.
In all the years she had known him, this was the first time she had held onto him with such frantic tension.
Not out of dependence, but out of fear—fear that he would back out and refuse the divorce.
A strange bitterness welled up in his chest, but he forced a dismissive smile. "No matter how rushed you are, we still have to wait for the couple ahead of us to finish. Or do you plan to snatch the stamp from the clerk and do it yourself?"
With that, he made a move to pull his arm back and step away.
Sienna's eyelashes fluttered.
