Begging for a Second Chance (Sienna Sloan and Jarred Sterling) novel Chapter 220

Sienna's lips curled into a cold, mocking smile.

"Lucas, you and Jarred truly are cut from the same cloth. You both have the exact same taste and love worshiping garbage."

Lucas's expression darkened.

Sienna didn't give him a chance to speak. Her gaze swept over Gideon and Celeste, who sat beside him, her voice perfectly flat.

"Cupid really did a stellar job at sorting trash. You three, plus Jarred, make the perfect dumpster."

Luna burst out laughing.

Gideon's face instantly clouded over. "Sienna, watch your mouth."

Sienna tilted her head, as if she had just heard something hilarious. "At least my mouth speaks the truth. Yours is only good for kissing ass."

With that, she glanced at Celeste, who sat quietly in her wheelchair, and then looked back at Lucas.

"Did you just tell me to wipe her shoes?" She jutted her chin toward Celeste.

"Considering those useless legs of hers haven't walked two steps in a millennium, her shoes are definitely cleaner than her face.

Speaking of which, that two-faced mug of hers is missing a couple of slap marks. Should I add them for her?"

The laughter from the neighboring tables died instantly.

Gideon abruptly stood up, pointing a finger at Sienna. "Don't you dare touch a single hair on Celeste's head!"

Lucas stood up as well. Though not as agitated as Gideon, his icy demeanor carried an even heavier, oppressive weight.

Just then, Celeste reached out and gently tugged at their sleeves.

"Please, don't do this," she pleaded, looking torn. "Dr. Sloan isn't in our circle to begin with. It's only natural that her worldview and manners don't align with ours. Don't be hard on her."

Her words sounded incredibly pure and innocent, yet they effortlessly branded Sienna as a cheap, vulgar outsider.

Lucas and Gideon, who always hung onto Celeste's every word, immediately nodded in agreement. Their glares toward Sienna grew increasingly disdainful.

"Celeste is right. We shouldn't waste our breath on people like her. Her upbringing speaks for itself."

"She's petty and uncultured. Definitely not in our league."

Sienna looked at the rabid men barking in front of her and only found it amusing.

"Think you can bully people just because you have numbers? We're not backing down!"

The two sides drew a clear line, the tension snapping tight.

Right at that explosive moment, a soft voice floated over from the side.

"Excuse me... is there a Sienna here?"

The shouting came to an abrupt halt.

Both groups turned in unison toward the voice.

A delivery driver in uniform stood awkwardly in the doorway, backlit by the restaurant lights.

In his arms, he held a massive bouquet of vibrant pink hyacinths, and from his other hand hung a perfectly boxed Champagne Cake.

Through the transparent packaging, crushed pistachios could be seen sprinkled delicately over the buttercream frosting.

Intimidated by the hostile standoff, the driver stood frozen in place, too scared to take another step.
