Willow blinked, taking in the surroundings. Before she could say a word, an elegant woman in a tailored vintage dress hurried over. The moment she saw Willow, her eyes sparkled. "This must be Willow! Oh, you're gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous! No wonder Vivienne adores you so much!"
"Mrs. Vance..."
Before Willow could finish the formal greeting, she was quickly interrupted. "Don't be so stiff. From now on, just call me Grandma Genevieve."
Willow's eyes curved warmly. "Grandma Genevieve."
Genevieve Vance was overjoyed. She had always wanted a daughter or granddaughter, but her useless sons had let her down, giving her ten consecutive grandsons—not a single girl among them!
She had pinned her hopes on Vivienne, only for her daughter to swear off marriage entirely!
It had been a source of endless headaches for Genevieve. But this was perfect. Vivienne might not have her own children, but she clearly knew how to steal one from someone else!
It didn't matter—finders keepers!
Beaming with delight, Genevieve ushered Willow inside, completely ignoring her actual daughter.
Vivienne didn't mind in the slightest, happily trailing behind the two of them.
As soon as they entered, Genevieve grabbed Willow's hands. "I watched your competition. Heavens, the way you played that piece... it spoke straight to my heart! I agonized over what to get you as a gift. Finally, I decided to commission a custom piano for you! It's Maestro St. Claire's final masterpiece. It probably won't be delivered anytime soon, so you'll have to be a little patient."
Willow was stunned. Maestro St. Claire!
