York was the first to speak. "Willow, let me drop you off. I brought you here, after all."

Lucian replied in a cool, steady tone, "Don't trouble yourself, York. Willow and I live together, so it makes the most sense for me to go with her. We're heading the same way home."

York let out a laugh. "What a coincidence. I just bought the place right above Willow's, so I'm heading that way, too."

Lucian's eyes darkened instantly, shooting York an icy glare.

At this exact moment, he fiercely regretted ever letting York stand in for him.

If he hadn't given the guy an excuse to get close to Willow, he wouldn't be dealing with a rival now.

Who could have guessed that a prominent billionaire heir had such a knack for swooping in on someone else's territory?

Lucian scoffed. "York, the situation is urgent. This isn't the time for your jealous little games. Don't hold Willow back from handling her business."

With that, Lucian pulled his car door open, shifting his gaze to Willow with a soft expression.

Refusing to be outdone, York shot a disdainful look at Lucian the Manipulator. "Then let Willow decide."

Willow looked away, having absolutely no idea what kind of mental breakdown these two were having.

She was in no mood to play a twisted game of Bachelor, so she simply pulled out her phone and ordered a ride.

In less than two minutes, a cab pulled up right in front of her.

York and Lucian clearly hadn't anticipated that move. After a brief moment of shock, they withdrew their stares and simultaneously slammed their own car doors shut.

The next second, they marched right up to the cab, swung open both back doors, and slid in on either side of Willow, effectively trapping her in the middle.

With two pairs of long legs cramped into the tight backseat, Willow's personal space was tragically non-existent.

Now she was starting to get a headache. "Don't you two have your own lives to manage?"
