Betrayed by Blood: My Second Life as a Queen novel Chapter 344

Silas whipped his head around, staring at Xavier like he had lost his mind. "Are you insane, Xavier?! Willow is a leech! We've paid for her entire life, what right does she have to demand a subsidiary?! She's never worked a day in her life!"

Xavier looked at him evenly. "Have you?"

"What?" Silas blinked, taken aback.

"I asked, before you went into acting, did you ever contribute a single cent to this company?" Xavier's voice dropped, carrying a heavy, suffocating authority.

This time, it was Silas who refused to meet his eyes.

Xavier answered for him. "You didn't. Yet you demanded we purchase an entire entertainment agency to pave the way for your career. Did you think of yourself as a leech back then?"

Silas opened his mouth, but nothing came out.

Xavier's tone was dead flat. "Now, Willow is asking for a company that is actively bleeding money, and you suddenly have a problem with it. Silas, Willow is right. You are incredibly selfish and completely hypocritical."

Silas took a shuddering breath, his eyes turning red. "You're attacking me for her sake?!"

"Can I not?" Xavier shot back.

"She completely cut us off! Why the hell are you defending her?!" Silas screamed, completely unhinged.

Xavier let out a hollow, bitter laugh. "I just wish I had defended her back then."

That finally silenced Silas.

Willow watched the argument unfold with icy detachment, her expression completely unchanged.

Standing on the sidelines, Barnaby couldn't help but frown. Looking at Silas, a sudden, uncomfortable realization hit him—had Silas always spoken to Willow with this much venom?

With the two brothers quiet, Willow turned back to Barnaby. "Well, Director Bishop? Do we have a deal?"
