Betrayed by Blood: My Second Life as a Queen novel Chapter 393

Every single word of that question struck her rawest nerve, instantly twisting into a mockery she couldn't ignore.

She stared at Willow, her eyes wide with disbelief.

Then, she whipped her head toward Mrs. Halloway, her voice laced with bitter resentment. "Mrs. Halloway, I called you here to kick Willow out! She is morally bankrupt and completely unworthy of participating in The Celestial Composition Project. You have to—"

Before she could finish, Mrs. Halloway sharply cut her off. "Shut your mouth! Miss Shaw is a VIP guest of the palace. Who gave you the right to question her presence?"

A VIP guest?

Tessa was completely reeling. Hadn't Daphne summoned her specifically to target Willow?

How had Willow suddenly become an honored guest of the royal family in just a matter of days?

Willow arched an eyebrow, a half-smile playing on her lips as she studied Tessa's expression. Tilting her head, she asked, "Tess, are you introducing yourself? After all, when it comes to moral bankruptcy, who could possibly beat you? You're currently walking around on probation..."

Tessa's pupils shrank, and she screamed uncontrollably, "Shut up!"

Her impending prison sentence was the most humiliating stain of her entire life!

Willow laughed. "What? You had the nerve to do it, but you're afraid of people talking about it?"

Tessa's face twisted with rage. Forcing herself to calm down, she sneered, "Willow, do you really think people will believe your fabricated rumors? I know you hate me, but lying is just a bad look."

Willow scoffed. "Do you think we're back at the Shaw Estate? You think you can just spin a web of lies and everyone will swallow it? Keep dreaming. All anyone has to do is run a background check."

Tessa's face turned a livid shade of purple, but she had absolutely no way to refute it. All she could do was stand there, grinding her teeth and glaring venomously at Willow.

Willow didn't even bother giving her another glance. Tucking her access pass away, she turned and walked right into the concert hall.

Judging by the time, Caspian should be arriving soon.

She needed to go welcome him.
