Betrayed by My Mafia Brother novel Chapter 8

Chapter 8

“She’s not part of the Romano family anymore. After she apologizes to you, she’s out of the house for

good.”

Nerina stood up. All her usual arrogance gone.

“Emilia, I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have framed you for stealing my, I shouldn’t have framed you for

stealing my watch. You and my brother were so good to me. It was all my fault.”

I didn’t say a word. Just picked up my coffee and threw it in her face.

Splash.

Her face twisted. Brown liquid ruined her hair. Soaked her clothes.

She froze for two seconds. Then let out a shriek.

“You bitch! I apologized, what more do you want? How dare you throw that at me! I’ll kill you!”

She lunged.

I was ready to fight back. But before she could even reach me, Fabio hauled off and slapped her. Hard.

She stumbled sideways. Clutched her face. Pathetic.

“You, you hit me?”

Since he brought her home, she’d been spoiled rotten. He’d never even raised his voice at her. Let alone hit her. Even after finding out she framed me, he probably didn’t really lose his temper.

Nerina’s eyes went red. She couldn’t process it.

Fabio’s face was stone. His voice like ice.

“You earned that. Emilia’s my sister. You touch her again and see what happens. I’ve got the recording saved. You admitted to framing her yourself. I’m handing it over to the lawyers. You can rot in prison.”

Terror flooded her eyes. She dropped to her knees, shaking.

“Fabio, please. I’m begging you. Have mercy. I can’t go to prison, It’ll ruin my life. I’ll apologize to her. I’l do whatever you want. I’ll leave town and never come back. Just please. Don’t do this.”

And right there in the café, she actually started kowtowing.

People gathered. Watched. Whispered. Phones came out. Recording everything. She lost every shred of

dignity she had. Sobbing. Begging.

I just laughed. Cold. I wasn’t about to forgive her.

I turned to Fabio. “Let me know when you press charges. I know a couple of good lawyers.”

His whole face lit up. He grabbed my hand like I’d just given him everything.

“Good. That’s good. Emilia, so come home with me then. I swear, I’ll never doubt you again.”

I pulled my hand away. Let the disgust show in my eyes.

“I’m never coming back. Fabio. From now on, we’re nothing to each other.”

After that meeting, I changed my number. Aria changed hers. We blocked him on everything. I cut him
