Rachel stopped walking and turned to look at Connor. “If you’re not happy, sue me.”
Connor didn’t expect Rachel to be so bold.
Rachel didn’t respond to him and grabbed Xylia’s hand, leading her into the office.
Connor started to follow, but Joshua stepped forward and blocked his way.

Joshua still looked the same as he had this morning at Xylia’s door. Wearing black and white casual clothes, his silver hair glimmered in the light, his presence as noble and cold as before.
Connor’s eyes were cold. “Joshua, do you really think I won’t do anything to you?”
“Well, that depends on whether you’re capable of it.” With his hands in his pockets, Joshua’s eyes were dangerous, staring at Connor coldly. “Since the divorce is coming soon, you should stop lingering around. It’ll make you look pathetic.”
Connor snorted. “Pathetic? You’re always around Xylia. Doesn’t that make you pathetic too?”
“I’m not the same as you.” Joshua’s smile widened slightly. “Instead of worrying about me, Mr. Ford, you should focus on your own company. Can it even make it through this quarter?”
As soon as the words left his mouth, Joshua saw Connor’s face turn pale. He gave a mocking glance and turned to leave.
Connor’s hand clenched into a fist at his side, still glaring at Joshua’s back.
Tessa looked at Connor and couldn’t help but ask, “Connor, how does he know about the Ford Group’s situation?”
Connor didn’t answer but felt a sudden chill down his back.
“Connor?” Tessa called out, her voice tinged with concern.
Only then did Connor look at Tessa. “He said he was the driver for the Garcia family.”
Tessa understood. “Well, he’s just the driver for the Garcia family. It’s normal for him to overhear business things from his boss.”
She wasn’t concerned about Joshua. She believed anyone who hung out with Xylia couldn’t be that wealthy.
But Connor remained deep in thought. He sensed that Joshua’s background was more complicated than it appeared.

In Rachel’s office, she examined Xylia’s external injuries. “It’s nothing serious. Your wrist and ankle just need new medicated patches. I’ll take care of that for you.”

Xylia nodded in thanks, but she kept glancing toward the door. She was genuinely worried about another clash between Joshua and Connor.
As Rachel prepared the medicine, she glanced at Xylia out of the corner of her eye. Finally, Rachel smiled. “Don’t worry. Joshua is not someone ordinary people can easily handle.”
Xylia was still worried. “But Connor is not an ordinary person.” He was the CEO of Ford Group, and the Ford family was one of the top wealthy families in Jupiton. If he wanted to ruin someone, it wasn’t hard.
Rachel chuckled lightly. “You’d better not let Joshua hear that. He’ll be furious.”
Given Joshua’s jealous nature, if he had heard the woman he liked complimenting another man, he would have probably wanted to destroy Connor.
Xylia thought Rachel was simply watching for amusement, so she did not offer any further explanation.
Rachel finished the prescription, her eyes darting around thoughtfully. Then she asked Xylia, “What do you really think of Joshua?”
Xylia looked at Rachel, confused. “What do you mean?”
Rachel paused, then studied Xylia’s eyes and expression carefully, as though trying to read her. She came to a conclusion. Xylia didn’t understand Joshua’s feelings at all and probably just saw him as a friend.
Rachel felt strangely amused. Joshua finally got a taste of his own medicine. “It’s nothing. I just wanted to ask, what did you think of Joshua?”
Xylia thought for a moment and replied seriously. “He’s a good person, handsome, gentle, and considerate. His future girlfriend will be very lucky.”
Rachel couldn’t hold back and laughed out loud.
Xylia looked at her, confused. She silently wondered what Rachel was laughing at.
Rachel shook her head, printed the prescription, and handed it to Xylia. “You’ll be happy in the future.”
Xylia took the prescription, eyeing Rachel suspiciously. She had no idea what had made Rachel laugh. She shrugged and was about to leave with the prescription. As she stepped out, she saw Joshua standing at the door.
Joshua’s complexion was poor. He was leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed, his head slightly bowed. The shadow of his silver hair covered his eyes, and he looked a little gloomy.
“Why aren’t you going inside?” Xylia asked.
Joshua tilted his head to look at her. His charming eyes curved, but his smile didn’t reach his mood.
Although he was smiling, Xylia could feel that Joshua was in a bad mood.
Xylia gave a forced laugh. “It’s just a checkup” She waved the prescription in front of him. “I’m going to get the
medication from the staff.”
