Chapter 215

The room fell into stunned silence as an entourage marched in-precise, controlled, and impossible to ignore.

At the center of it, Vasili Wright walked ahead of them all. Calm. Unhurried.

Yet his presence alone forced the room into stillness. Conversations died. Movements slowed. Even the air seemed to tighten around him.

Respect came instinctively. So did fear.

“C… CEO… Wright…”

The words slipped from the directors, unsteady, almost disbelieving.

They straightened at once as he approached.

Vasili didn’t acknowledge them.

He moved to the center of the room and took a seat-one that had remained empty until now, as if it had always been reserved

for him.

No one questioned it. No one dared. Around him, people stared-some in awe, others in quiet panic.

Roel Danes stood frozen for a moment before forcing himself forward, his earlier confidence noticeably restrained.

“CEO Wright… it’s a surprise to have you here in Bay City,” he said, careful now, his tone edged with hesitation.

Vasili leaned back slightly, settling in with ease.

“I heard there was something interesting happening here,” he replied casually.

“I didn’t want to miss it.” His gaze moved across the room. Slow. Deliberate.

It lingered on Roel-and those gathered around him–just long enough to make them uneasy.

Then it shifted to the media.

Cameras flashed in rapid succession, capturing the rare appearance. Reporters leaned in, eager, knowing the weight of what they were witnessing.

“You’re here under my directive, Director Belsky?”

Vasili turned his head slightly, his gaze settling on the two men. His tone remained casual-almost indifferent.

“What exactly was my directive?”

He clasped his hands loosely in front of him, waiting. No one moved.

“Uhm… CEO Wright…” Belsky faltered, the confidence he carried earlier nowhere to be found.

For the first time since they arrived he looked unsure. And before he could recover-

“Good day, CEO Wright.” Mirriam stepped forward. Bold. Eager.

“I’m Mirriam Knowles,” she continued smoothly, gesturing toward Roel and the two directors.

“Daughter of President Roel Danes-whom Directors Belsky and Lukin have appointed to oversee Malakai Group following the

Petrov seizure.”

She smiled, composed, as if presenting something already decided.

“The Directors are here to restore order in Bay City,” she added.

“Especially after the abuses committed by the tyrant-CEO Ashton Pierce.”

Her words carried clearly across the room. But the moment she finished-the silence that followed was heavier than before.

Roel Danes shifted slightly, the edge of unease creeping into his expression. The two directors exchanged brief, uncertain

glances.

All of them waiting. For a reaction.

But Vasili Wright gave none. He simply looked at her. Unblinking. Unreadable.

The silence stretched-long enough to become uncomfortable. Long enough to make even those who supported her begin to

doubt.

Then-his gaze moved. It shifted from Mirriam… to Ashton. For a brief moment, their eyes rnet.

Everyone waited-for what Vasili would do next. But Ashton moved first. He stepped forward. Calm and measured.

Passing between Director Belsky and Director Lukin without so much as a glance-

“Urgh-!”

Both men suddenly doubled over.

A sharp, strangled sound tore from them as they clutched their stomachs, their composure breaking completely.

Gasps rippled through the room.

“What-?”
