Bound by the Past, Locked by the Heart novel Chapter 32

"Just the two of us isn't going to cut it." Her eyes darted around as a sly smirk curled on her lips. "I'm bringing Wyatt Gage. Let's see them try to act tough with him around!"

Wyatt was the son of the Sommers family's chauffeur. He had trained in kickboxing since childhood and was currently working as a bodyguard for Sophie's brother.

The man was a towering mountain of muscle, and his icy, unsmiling face made him an instant threat just by standing in a room.

Willa was amused by the suggestion, but she happily agreed.

When dealing with a spineless bully like Martha, sheer intimidation was probably the only language she understood.

Over the next few days, exactly as Willa had predicted, the pampered Miss Sommers treated her apartment like a cozy vacation rental.

It was Willa, the limping patient, who ended up cooking extravagant meals for her demanding guest every single day.

But honestly, she didn't mind at all.

Since returning to Norvale, Willa hadn't been able to stop thinking about Randal's hand. Lacking any other way to contact him, she waited until she felt a bit better and took a chance, sending a message to his social media account.

[How is your hand?]

This time, there was no red error message signaling she'd been blocked, but there was no reply, either.

A flicker of worry sparked in her chest, but Sophie's constant chatter quickly snuffed it out before it could grow.

A week later, her ankle had mostly healed. There was still a slight twinge when she walked, but she was finally mobile enough to leave the house.

Sophie was a woman of her word. She called in Wyatt and was practically vibrating with excitement to head over to the old house and demand justice.
