The smirk on Randal's lips widened.
He finished the food in record time.
He set down his fork and stared at her, his eyes brimming with amusement.
"You only made one serving?"
She blinked. "Are you... still hungry?"
He arched an eyebrow, deliberately keeping quiet.
Willa stood up. "I'll go make some more."
The moment she turned, he snagged her wrist. "What if I don't want noodles anymore?"
Caught off guard, she glanced back, meeting those amused eyes.
They were laced with a wicked intent.
"Then what do you want?"
His intense stare made her skin flush, and her immediate instinct was to pull away.
With a swift tug, he yanked her right into his lap.
Before she could even process it, she was straddling his thighs.
"Randal!" she shrieked, scrambling to get to her feet.
He hooked an arm around her waist, locking her in place, and leaned in close to her ear. "I can have anything... I want?"
Willa's face burned brighter, and she clamped her lips shut.
His grin deepened. He brushed a loose lock of hair behind her ear, trailing his fingertips down her jawline to tilt her chin up.
He dragged out the final word, his eyes dropping to her mouth. "I want to eat you—"
He leaned in, his lips hovering a breath away from hers.
"—to make me some soup."
Willa's eyes widened, her brain completely short-circuiting.
Soup?
Since when did she know how to make that?
A second later, it dawned on her that he was just messing with her.
