Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 653

The navigation led Renee to a bridge on the outskirts of Lion Peak.

It was the middle of the night, and the roads were almost empty. Renee pressed the accelerator, her heart pounding at the thought that Anne was alive. She just wanted to see her as quickly as possible.

An hour later, Renee arrived at the destination. She was on a road at the base of the mountain, surrounded by dense woods, with a wide river flowing nearby. The whole area was pitch dark, illuminated only by her headlights.

At that moment, she saw a car approaching from the opposite side. It slowed and finally stopped just a few feet from her.

Renee's heart pounded. Desperate to see Anne, she instinctively unbuckled her seatbelt and opened the driver's door.

"Anne," she called out.

After everything she had been through, she couldn't hold back and ran toward the car, shouting her daughter's name.

Suddenly, the rear door of the car opened, and two heavily tattooed men stepped out.

Renee froze. "Who are you? Where's my daughter? Anne! Anne!"

Something felt wrong. Renee turned to run back to her own car, but she hadn't gone far before the two men caught up and grabbed her.

"What are you doing? Stop! Let me go!" Renee screamed, struggling desperately. One of the men slammed her head with a hard blow, knocking her unconscious, and dragged her into the car.

The Holt residence was empty.

Tony was baffled.

Why would someone abduct her and announce it to the world? What could the kidnappers possibly want?

Then he received a video from the kidnappers. Renee appeared with blood at the corner of her mouth, sobbing as she pleaded, "Anne, I know you're alive. I miss you. Come save me! Anne, are you home yet? Please contact your father and come save me…"

Just as Tony was about to take the video to the police, another message came in. "Send this video to your daughter."

Tony replied immediately, "My daughter is missing. I can't find her. How am I supposed to show her this?"

The kidnappers wrote back, "Post it online. Make it go viral. Your daughter will see it eventually."
