Ambria was dying I could feel it yet the lust for the death of these men forced me to ignore her.

A voice pierced through the lust making me pause.

‘Lee damn it! Get her out of here, save her!

As Simon yelled at me I was unable to warn him as the older man fired his gun once again piercing Simon through the

heart.

Simon’s body jerked and his eyes dulled. It was as if I was watching the life beinging drained from him. He was dead

before he hit the ground.

Adrain moved forward and snapped the neck of the man the sound making everyone freeze. The goons seemed lost seeing thier leader was now laying dead on the floor.

I ignored them and broke the chains binding Ambria,

She fell into my arms her head rolling back. Her stomach was soaked in her blood and her heart beat was weak. I gathered her in my arms and ran toward the window. I shielded her as the glass shattered Ten stories high I watched as the ground rose to meet me.

The cement crack under the force of my feet as I landed. Without pausing I sprinted forward into the woods knowing if a human saw my lycan form thier would be more problems then I need at the moment.

Wetness soaked my chest and I growled knowing it was the blood of my mate. Her breathing grew shallow making panic squeeze my heart.

As I neared the hospital I forced myself to shift back into human form.

“Help! Help!” I screamed breaking into the ER.

Instantly nurses rushed to me and gurney was pulled forward. I gently placed Ambría down her entire shirt soaked now.

She was instantly pushed through large double doors as a doctor shouted out orders. I went to follow but was stopped by

a nurse.

“Sir you have to stay out here. I promise she’s in good hands.”

I wanted to tell the small blonde to shove it and get out of my way but I knew my presence would only hinder the

doctors.

I moved to the waiting room and fell into one of the chairs my head falling into my hands.

I started to shake then as tears filled me eyes. There was such a large chance she wouldn’t make it. She’d lost so much

blood and had been so pale. Her heart beat had been weak and fluttering at times.

This day would forever give me nightmares. Tears splashed to the floor at the thought of my Ambria cold and pale

buried in the ground.

I should have payed more attention to her. Maybe she wouldn’t have sneaked off to see Blaze. Maybe if I had……

So many things moved through my mind. I could have done so many things to prevent this.

I wanted to kill something, I wanted to make some one pay but the people respoible were already dead.

I grieved for Ambria at the thought of her brother on the ground his eyes void of life.

If I had just gone to her maybe he’d be alive.

I didn’t even notice when Valentina and Luca arrived or when the rest of the family filled the room. No one spoke to me

which I was grateful for. We sat in a quiet bubble of pain.

Years seemed to slowly pass before a doctor exited the room heading straight for me. I jumped to my feet my heart

pounding.

“Is she–”

“She’s stable.” The doctor said with a sigh.

I closed my eyes relief pounding through me.

“But…..thier was so much damage I– its highly unlikly she’ll be able to have children and even if she did the fetus

wouldn’t make it to full term. I’m sorry.”

The doctors words had me throwing my fist into the wall as agony ripped through me stealing my breath. Tears pressed at my eyes knowning how much this was going to hurt Ambria. Suddenly the dreams of mini Ambria’s were torn from
