Book1 Chapter36
Clay P.O.V
I sighed slightly frustrated.
Though Cameron had accepted me as his mate he hadn’t willingly touched me since that night. He would
come in and stay with me for awhile before making a excuse to leave. He seemed histant and unfeeling.
I was fully healed now and determined to get some kind of emotion out of Cameron.
I found my sister and her mate watching tv snuggled up to each other.
I felt a pang of envy at the cozy scene.
I cleared my throat and they both looked up at me with content smiles. I shifted uncomfortable then cleared
my throat again.
“I was uh wondering if you wanted to go to the club with me and Cameron.” I asked
“Ohhh can we go can we?” Emma pleaded to Luke. He smirked at her seeming to be thinking about it till she
gave him her puppy dog look he couldn’t resist.
“Fine I guess were going” Luke rolled his eyes while Emma squealed and ran off saying something about eye
glitter. I rolled my eyes..girls.
I convinced Lee to go to which was unusual in its self.
Now all i had to do was get my mate to go.
Sighing I walked into his room and froze my eyes widening.
He yelled out in suprise and quickly covered him self with the towel that had been in his hand.
“Would you knock!” He screamed blushing,
“Uhhh s–sorry. Were all going out to the club tonight I was hoping you’d come with us” I bit my lip hoping he’d
say yes.
“Clay…..I don’t know”
“Please Cameron I really want to…..go out with you, have fun” I sighed and rubbed a hand through my hair.
“Never mind you don’t have to go it was a stupid idea” i mumbled turning to leave.
“Wait!”

I paused.
“I’ll go just uh….where are we going?” He asked looking slightly worried.
I frowned “I uh….the one down town its about an hour from here” I told him.
He relaxed and gave me a smile.
Emma was so drunk. Luke had almost gotten into about three fights already with the way guys kept hitting on Emma. He’d finally forced her to sit down and ‘rest‘ before she decided to dance again.
Cameron had been tense since we got here. He scanned the room constantly as if searching for someone.
“Clay?!”
I looked up startled to see one of my …..‘friends‘, Riley.
“Riley!” I laughed hugging him.. We had been friends long before lovers but our friendship was still strong as
ever.
Riley had short blonde hair and a very pretty face. He wore a pair of tight jeans and a black shirt that fit to him like a second skin. His black nail polish and his eyeliner was part of the reason we were such good
friends.
When we first met it’d been at the mall and he’d been determined to put eyeliner on me saying my eyes would pop or something like that.
“Ahh love who are all these beautiful people” he smiled sitting on my lap. Emma’s eyes widen and she quickly glanced at Cameron as did I but he seemed disinterested.
For some reason it kind of hurt I mean was I not worth getting jealous over? Didn’t he care another male was touching on his mate?
‘Uh this is my baby sister and her boyfriend and this is the twins Adrain and Lee. Sarah here is Adrain’s girlfriend and this is Cameron-”
“Sarah’s brother” Cameron inturpped quickly. I hid the hurt i felt at his words. He didn’t want Riley to know we
were mates.
“So your still a free man I see” Riley purred rubbing my thigh. I glanced at Cameron then smiled at Riley. Well if Cameron didn’t care then neither did I.
“Yeah I guess I am you want to go get a drink?‘ I asked him.
Cameron head snapped up his eyes wide, but I ignored him and stood up wrapping a arm around Riley’s

waist as his hand grasped my butt.
“So sweet cheeks that hunk of a man back there your toy?” He asked me leaning agasint the bar.
I sighed and gave him a rueful smile “I thought…..I thought he was my boyfriend but it seems he dosn’t want
me.” I told him sadly.
“That man must be crazy to not claim you! You are the biggest commiement freak that I’ve ever known!” Riley said.
I rolled my eyes “I’m not afraid of commitment I was just waiting for the right person” I told him.
“And your toy is the person you’ve been waiting for?” He asked
I nodded sadly and took a gulp of my drink.
I looked at him startled when he grabbed my hand and jerked me back to the table. All the others were on the floor dancing Cameron the only one left.
Cameron looked up at me with a hurt expression. It pulled at my heart but I looked away. This was his fault. He denied me. What did he expect?
“So Cameron met anyone special?” Riley asked cuddling up to me. I was about to push him away wondering what he was doing but stop when I saw the angry glint in Cameron’s eye.
