Broken but still Alive novel Chapter 54

Book2 Chapter6

Lena Rose POV

Its been a week since I left and in that time I’ve crossed over the royal walls and have stayed hidden inside the castle

walls.

Its been fairly easy to spy on the family and I wonder why they have so many guards if their all useless.

I watched the twins now as they relaxed in one of the game rooms.

Normally they would have felt my presence but when I had been younger my grandfather paid a witch to put spells on

me that hid my scent and presence from others.

I realized now it was probably the only reason I’d been able to stay hidden for this long.

So far I’ve gathered that the Queen and King have three children. The twins who are around 19 or 20 and have very dark handsome looks. Then there’s little Lilly. She’s six years old and she has little black curls that rest around her waist. She’s always wearing pink or purple dresses and has a ribbon in her hair.

I smile everytime I hear her laugh and then I realize I’ve been odered to kill her.

The whole family is very protective of little Lilly and love her dearly. I’ve never seen her cry once and I wondered what that was like. To live a life in happiness.

Boys why am I finding bras in your roomsThe Queen stated narrowing her eyes at her sons. They both gave careless

shrugs.

Maybe were cross dressers mom ever think of thatOne of them yawned.

I did Luca right after I found the matching thongThe Queen rolled her eyes and I had to bite back a smile.

Their life seemed so normal so perfect. An I was going to ruin everything.

I must admit those things are pretty comfythe other twin smirked.

The Queen groaned and gave up stomping out the room.

They both snicker to each other and started to talk about girls which I really didn’t want to hear. Closing my eyes I realised I had let my emotions show through again. Forcing them back I felt my face go emotionless. Raising my gun I placed my hand on the trigger. I had two months to finish this mission but that meant in that time Shadow would be in

pain.

Something I couldn’t allow.

I pulled the trigger.

She broke his heart to save his life. Five years later,

I watched as the bullet flew from the gun and sliced through the air before lodging it’s self in one of the twin’s chest.

They both stared in shock as blood began to stain his light blue shirt.

I fired again but this time they were more aware and the second twin moved out the way at the last second. Growling frustrated I jumped from the shelf of the book case I’d been laying on.

I landed with a soft thud and watched as their eyes widen then narrowed. My long hair was braided down my back and I

wore a black mask and black clothes.

The uninjured twin rushed me but I easily dodged him and slammed my foot into his back sending him into a wall. The other twin was unable to move on the couch as the sliver ran through his body. He’d live for three days before he finally died. I was the only one who could save him not that I would, Shadows life counted on it.

Soon me and the other twin were in a close battle his strength making mine. I could tell he was surprised I was strong as

I was and used it against him.

Acting as if I was going to use my right fist to hit him I quickly changed and slamed my left one into him sending him crashing into the glass table near his brother.

Suddenly Lily ran in fear on her pretty little face. What–

Using my powers I grabbed her in my arms ignoring her scream and edged toward the window. Suddenly the King and Queen appeared in the room both pale and shaky.

I held my gun to Lilly’s head forcing my emotions away.

I had to do this for Shadow.

Her little body shook with fear sobs bursting from her chest.

Please she’s just a little girlOne of the twins whispered.

I fired a shot that grazed his leg making him cry out. Lilly screamed in my arms and I growled silencing her.
